Yeah, personal opinion I'd keep my dog no matter what. But there are ppl out there nga d jud kaya and we're faced with the question nga "Will we leave the dog to die kai walai kaon or give it away to people who can actually take better care of them?" Nag lisud man sila so of course they'll sell it. There are bad ppl out there who sell dogs for the sake of money. This can not be avoided. However, the situation can. Cesar Millan actually gives his dogs to people who he sees fit. My cousin recently adopted a mutt from his pack. But there's the important part: "who he sees fit". This goes back to what I mentioned above about responsible pet owners and responsible future pet owners. Don't sell your dog to random people without doing a bit of background check. If you do care about your dog, you'll do whatever it takes. And to people willing to buy these adult dogs, see to it that you can also take care of the pet and also do a bit of background check. Life is a win-win situation. You might be the best pet owner in the world but if you don't have money to take care of it, it's best to not push it as it is very fatal.
Just wanna share: I have a friend who used to be very wealthy and one disease took everything away. He spent 3 months in the ICU and he needed 6k worth of medicine daily. What's left in his house now is a radio, a few tables and chairs and a bed. No cars. He has two sons. His wife now cooks for him and does everything since wala naman jud. He can't move, he can't speak. The wife serves as his nurse. His sons are 6 and 10. They hardly have money for food, let alone money for medicines. So to avoid anybody dying, their sons are now with their grandparents. This is a little example of situations that we have that we can only do so little.
We can never have everything we want and like religion, everyone has their own point of view. The only thing we can do is compromise.![]()
