Stealing precious pristine white sand? -- Chinese cargo ship with 24 crewmen seized by Coast Guard in Cebu | The Seafarer Times
another stupid remarks from the Coast GuardThe Chinese were in the area between Malapascua Island and Carnasa Island.
The ship was anchored in the area, a famous beach area and dive spot located near a marine sanctuary.
Melad admitted that this was the second time that they boarded the ship.
Last week, they entered the ship’s premises but it was for port state control purposes where they only checked the seaworthiness of the vessel. The ship passed the inspection.
But at past 4 a.m. yesterday, the officers from the four different government agencies again approached the vessel anchored some 5.3 nautical miles off Malapascua Island.
no client because the cargo hold was empty? no client ? The PCG have never heard of 'waiting cargo' or 'unavailable berth'?The PCG also learned that the Chinese ship plans to go to Leyte where the vessel owner was reportedly looking for clients and cargo to transport.
When they checked the ship, it appeared that they had not yet found any client since the cargo hold was empty.
He also wondered why the vessel was anchored in Cebu, which was in Region 7, when their intended client was in Region 8.
why region 7? The PCG have never ever seen a 'passage plan' ? Didn't they received a 'supposed' distress call?
anyway, it seem all is well na> Tan-awa ra
all the malicious innuendos from the Coast Guard, then failure to file notice of arrival ra diay ang hinampak.
katong mga concerned kuno but ill-informed netizens nga nagpataka lang post - 'bullying' 'smuggling' spying' and the crap
will cry 'bribery' over this development
PCG clears Chinese ship of liability | Inquirer Global NationBut he said the vessel’s owner would have to pay a penalty for failing to file a notice of arrival, before it would be allowed to sail to its final destination.
