NEWS: New Pokemon Type ---> Fairy Type

Fairy Type Matchups
How Fairy-type Pokémon and moves will fit into the battle landscape has yet to be fully revealed. But it is known that Fairy-type moves are super effective against Dragon-type Pokémon! Until Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, Dragon-type Pokémon had only two weaknesses: Ice-type moves and Dragon-type moves. The new Fairy type changes the balance in a big way!

I usually don't judge how a pokemon looks—they usually look ugly in the games but cuddly in the anime, i.e. Ash's Gligar—but I really am not sure what to make out of this one:



I really am not sure if it's ugly or not. One way, it looks like a funny-looking, cartoon-y dragon with big eyes. But those aren't its eyes. Another look, it's like a dragon with a fly's head.

what's the difference between fairy and normal pokemon types? they look the same to me.
i've always underestimated normal types because they look like "hmm...meh" LOL.
yes, i still look at them that way... though kapila ko nag.balik2 sa goldenrod gym sauna tungod ni miltank sa pokemon silver/gold days. hahaha. that was really frustrating.

not unless naa silay nindot nga moves, then ako sila catch-on
they only become valuable to me if naa sila other type than the normal. like girafarig. i would still see it more of a psychic pokemon, than a normal-psychic type.

Update 07.13.2013 (New Revealed Details)
- Professor: Augustine Sycamore
- Gym Leaders: Grant (a jock) and Clemont (a science nerd)
- Legendary Pokemon Xerneas is a Fairy-type. Its exclusive move, Geomancy, "features rainbow-colored light that erupts from the earth around it," while its Fairy Aura buffs all other Fairy Pokemon in battle.
- Yvetal is a Flying Dark-type Legendary Pokemon, with an Oblivion Wing attack that fires "a powerful beam of red light that scorches the ground below." The Dark Aura ability boosts Dark Pokemon stats.
- O-Powers "allows players the ability to easily power up Pokémon in their party and provides other benefits." You can share these powers with other online or local players to, for instance, "increase a Pokémon’s stats, while others make it easier to catch wild Pokémon or increase the Experience Points gained in battle."
