@marishelle; But is there a keyboard listed in Settings > Language & input? If so, let's try this:

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All (tab). Search for Android keyboard, tap it, then tap the Clear data button (you may need to wait a while for the button to be active). Go back to the applications list and look for Touch input, if it exists. Tap it, then clear data. Search for other keyboards you may have installed, and do the same. Reboot.

Are you referring to my post above? If so, then yes. If not, then please specify what you're referring to as some fixes are specific to the phone model or Android version.

@naGgeR; What are you using to download? Android itself doesn't put any limits on the size or amount you can download; the only limits are the amount of free space on your phone and your mobile provider (eg. some carriers have a data cap, like Globe's 800mb daily cap). The 4GB limit you're talking about probably refers to the File System limitations of your SD card. SD cards use FAT32 file system by default, which has a max file size transfer limit of 4GB. The only solution to that would be to reformat your SD card to use a file system that doesn't have those limits, such as NTFS (other file systems wouldn't be readable on Windows, so just use NTFS). You can use programs like MiniTool Partition Wizard to format your SD card using NTFS.

Warning: Use it only to format your SD card. Playing around with partitions can mess up your system if you don't know what you're doing.

Ah, I see. I'm afraid there's no workaround to allow you to download files larger than 4gb, however, there is (or should be) a workaround to allow you to play large files. It's a little more complicated, though. Here's how:

1. Download the video you want using a computer. Unfortunately, due to the file system limitations of the Nexus 7's internal storage, you wouldn't be able to download using your phone. Use a computer instead.

2. Use 7zip (preferred) or WinRAR to split your file into 3GB-sized pieces. Using 7zip, you can do that by right-clicking on the file, then go to 7-Zip > Add to archive. In the box that says "Split to volumes", type 3072M (that's for 3GB), then click OK.

3. Connect your phone to the PC and enable USB mass storage (if needed).

4. Copy the archive file generated in step 2 to the location on your phone where you want to put the movie.

5. Extract the movie. Right-click on the first volume of the archive and go to 7-Zip > Extract here. Once fully extracted, you can delete the archives.

6. Disable usb mass storage and disconnect your phone.

7. Try to play the HD movie you just transferred.

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, there's probably a way to make it so that your phone would be able to download large (4GB+) files directly instead of having to transfer from PC -> phone. However, as this method involves changing the file system of your internal storage, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're comfortable with rooting your phone and are willing to risk potentially bricking it.
