Airfare, aside from cebu pacific, try tiger airways you'll get a pretty low promo fare.

Hotel - hotel rates in Bangkok is also low, you can get 1K-1.5K room with buffet breakfast. I book stay with Agoda.com

Transportation - i recommend to use train. its hassle free ,fast and cheap (100 baht all day pass). Bangkok traffic is quite heavy. Just get a free map and train routes at the airport for your convenience.

Food- all i can say is, its Spicy and affordable.

For short distances inside bangkok, you can take the 'toktok' or trykes, but be sure to show them on the map where you want to go, and haggle on the fare. And yes, expect the food to be spicy, Thai's are very fond of curry and chilli, even their rice got chilli on them. if your traveling on a group with a guide, don't buy on those store that they brought you, buy on those stores that you ,yourselves have chosen,'coz, they might jack-up the prices to cover for the commission. Bangkok is a beautiful city with lots of places to see, but then again, just like every city ,its got its good side and bad side, its better to be careful and be alert, to prevent ruining your vacation. be safe.

Sorry Guys for the Late Reply. I was not able you to update from time to time;

Bankok is a no Brainer if mag research lng mo before mo adto. mura ra ug Cebu ang BKK when comes to pamalakad, diskarte etc... To make the long story short get a ticket and experience Bankok!

Total Money Spent from Bankok to Siem Reap to Phnom Phen to Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam = 25,000php for 10days including Travel Tax, Terminal Fee. Excluding Airfare which we got it at 6k only (Clark to Bankok then Ho Chi Minh to Manila) 3k for Cebu to Manila R/T.

Our journey begins in Cebu...

May 3,2013 - 3am: took a cab going to MCIAA paid 150php
- No terminal fee as it is already included in the airfare
- Just brought Dunkin in the airport for light Breakfast at 90php
- 7:00am: Arrived in Manila took a cab to Phil Tranco. paid 100php for the cab.
- at Phil Tranco we paid 400php going to Clark Airport or aka Diosdado Macapagal Internationa Airport.
- 8:30am: the Bus left for Subic: Travel Time was almost 3 Hours
- 11:30am Arrived Calrk International Airport
- 12:00nn Lunch at Clark for 100php
- 01:00pm Paid 1,650 for the Terminal Tax and 500 for the Travel Tax
- 04:30pm We left for Bankok via Tiger Airways
- 08:00pm arrived Suvarnabhumi Airport: Note; Phils is one hour advanced; you need to reset your watch.
- walk towards immigration, Filled up a Disembarkation Form. Give it the Immigration Officer. Bang! Welcome to Thailand!
- We did not wait for any baggage except for my tri pod coz we travelled light. a light back pack and not the Bulky backpaker thingy.
- We took the Airport Rail Link to Phaya Station; one way paid 90Baht or 135php
- From Phaya Station, we went down(.murag LRT sa manila nga naa sa Babaw ang train) and take the street to look for a Taxi.
- It took as 15mins before we can look for an empty cab because peak hours that time.Imagine mura ug edsa ka busy ang dalan ug mangita ka ug taxi. but it was okay. hibaw an ng style daan. diskarte gyd ta aron d ta tanga tan awn.
- Finally, hailed a cab going to Khao San. Paid 50baht each duha mi kabuok. so 75php kada usa.
- Taking a cab there is like a taking a cab in Cebu - if gusto sila ug pakyaw... away ug sugot. walk away... look for another cab. dili lisud dali ra. but so far, less ra ang mo demand ug pakyaw. just look for the COLORED BLUE Taxi; AVOID the PINK one.
- Finally, we reached Khao San Rd. We just look for our hotel and just easily found it! Bytheway, Khao San Rd. is a backpackers Place...didto mag converge tanan BP's. lingaw kaayo. daghan food, bars, sexy booties hehehe, basta LINGAW. its a long stretch of road occupied by bars and hotels.
- Anyway, We stayed at KHAO San Palace Hotel. paid 750Baht a night or P1,125 a night stayed for 2 nights.
- Since street FOOD is the best food for me to eat in Khao San, i directly looked for Pad Thai for only 55 BAHT (Egg&Chicken or if Egg tag 30baht ra or in Peso thats only 82.50php , 45php respectively)
- That night we booked a TOUR TO AYUTHAYA sa HAPPY TRAVEL AGENCY. PAID 500baht ONly includes lunch except drinks or thats 750php. The van will just pick you up in the Hotel.

May 4,2013 - 7:00am - Eat Pad THAI for break Fast Lami kaayo gud d ko mapul an.bought drinks sa 7/11. Paid 105php all in all.
7:30am - Pick up sa Van
10:00am Arrived in Ayuthaya. Daghan kaayo temples. Mapul an ka madugai. hehehe
12:00nn Lunch Free Lunch simple lng but we dont mind we paid cheap.
4:30pm back to the Hotel already. Rest for a while
5:30pm Took a taxi to MBK paid 80Baht or 120php / 2 kay duha mi = 60php only.
7:00pm Dinner at Food Court paid 120 baht only each = 180php
9:00pm Returned to Khao San Rd. Went to Travel Agency; Paid 250Baht each for ayutahaya Tour or thats 375php

#1 most of them are SCAMs. they overcharge you or if dont... you will really have to haggle the price. Better if you take a taxi which is more Legit using a taxi Meter a cheaper compared to TUKTUK. TUKTUK nowadays, are into Tourist travel rather than an ordinary means of transpo in Bankok.

#2 For me, there is no point of riding TUKTUK unless if its really needed. We already have alot of Tricycles here and even trisikads.. it s the same feel. you get polluted, dusty, inhales all the toxics etc hehehe just ride a taxi if possible for comfy ride. hassle free. relax and cheap.

Kung Dili ka mag shopping, 15k for 4 days is enough. that includes all the must go in thailand and accomodation. Imagine we only spent 25k for 3 countries in one travel ")

Sorry sir for late response... halos dili nako ka update tungod sa kadaghan sa among nasuroy ug na experience. daghan kog photos sa FB. hehehe anyway, if you are a practical traveller 20k is enough for BKK...more that enough kung duha mo kabuok. Just like in SG i will post all our expenses here thru excel file.

Sir, if possible avoid TUKTUKs.

#1 most of them are SCAMs. they overcharge you or if dont... you will really have to haggle the price. Better if you take a taxi which is more Legit using a taxi Meter a cheaper compared to TUKTUK. TUKTUK nowadays, are into Tourist travel rather than an ordinary means of transpo in Bankok.

#2 For me, there is no point of riding TUKTUK unless if its really needed. We already have alot of Tricycles here and even trisikads.. it s the same feel. you get polluted, dusty, inhales all the toxics etc hehehe just ride a taxi if possible for comfy ride. hassle free. relax and cheap.
