Dili jud na mag-agad pirmi about the school.....School is where you start, gi-introduce ka sa ana nga field......... but for the rest of the skills, it's up to you.
It's better ask some of your friends who are already in that field. Know the stuff and things to do before you Dig into that field.
If you wanna be an "EXPERT" in that field, start researching that interests you..... you can start FINDING A PROPER TOOL OR SOFTWARES.
ehhhh... naa man gani uban mga tao mga expert na ug kahibalo na about technical stuff....pero wala sila nag learn ug expensive school. Uban self tutorial and research.
depende jud na bro.....
depende sa diskarte.....

Someone just posted in this forum a cebu based company that offers a course in 3d animation in Maya and 3ds max. Both are commonly used in production studios and game developers. I'm not talking about Bigfoot here, i think the company is called metreon.
3d animation is still quite new to cebu but it's steadily growing now. You might want to check it out too if you're interested in 3d.
I'm an IT grad too but I learned 3d by myself. Learning through tutorials and the internet is a long hard road but very rewarding in the end. A school is definitely a plus but only if the mentor is capable too.
Nangita ko ug school na nindot ug environment gani. I need to learn the basics sad about sa computer kay wala pa koy knowledge about computer programming, design, etc. Maayo sad kung mag-school kay di ba if sa school, murag ma-expose man ka sa ubang companies -- makahibaw ka ba na naa diay ingon ani na mga companies, etc. So, im looking for a school na murag ready access sa mga companies. Like i-expose ka outside the classroom. I'm looking for that kind of education.Originally Posted by dodie

Anywayz, don't get disappointed what school you are into.... as long as you have good START.
Talking about to empressing the companies and to get a "job"....... first of all... you must be good at "something"....
and remember this.... don't limit yourself.. and then you can do anything you desire. Education is a gift and it's unlimited. The world is big, it's like sailing in a big ocean.
And also... don't forget to ask some of your friends who are already in that field.... it's a best source to get ideas.
Regarding Javasphere, does anyone here know about the different short-term courses they offer?
