there are different ways to get root on different devices, some may work on different devices but most of the time it wont. especially with devices that aren't really as popular as Samsung, HTC, Sony Ericsson and/or LG. The root method being used by the CM Omega HD won't work on the One Touch Idol Ultra.

dili pareho tanan bro.. lain2x ang methods for each phone.. thats why kung mopalit kog android, ako jud na i consider ang brand.. the more known, the more developers willing to develop roms for it...

No. Even if they have the same specs, they don't have the same rooting method. Best search in google, Android forums, or XDA Developers.
