reading from the transcript and wether Soho and his subordinates/reporters admit it or not, it was the swipe at Soho's weight that hurt them. lol
they're just using the 'rape' as an excuse to gain sympathy.
i don't see the logic to whine about associating 'rape' and somebody (who everyone knows had never been raped) in a comedy show.
this is another 'media manipulation' at work.

Hmmm.. tinuod man ng walang personalan, as long as you don't humiliate someone in front of thousands of your audience.

I have heard Mr. Willie Nepumoceno's point of view sa Punto po Punto ni Anthony Tavierna sa ABS regarding ani ni Kabayo..

Ug siya pa, while impersonation to a known personality draws a wider audience, pero kinahanglan tun-an tanang pwede ibatong jokes as the show goes on. Ang iyaha you can throw in green ones, pero kinahanglan dili maligsan ang usa ka personality tungod sa iyang physical nga panagway, mga krimen nga atong gipang-discourage, disability of a person ug uban pa.

^vice ganda and willie nep have different ways of making their audience laugh. the former has been known for direct-insults-to-subjects brand of comedy. ang kang willie nep if imong gyud hunahunaon is a dig at his subject's blunder, intelligence and sometimes mental state.

so swipe at someone's physical appearance is not okay while making fun of somebody's intelligence (or kakulang sa intelligence) kay okay ra? dili ra ta selective ana? please take note that both subjects were public figures. respected figures or not doesn't really matter.

regardless of whether Soho felt bad not necessarily because of the rape joke but because of being referred to as obese and regardless if Soho manipulated the situation, it still does NOT change the FACT that rape joke is just BAD TASTE

rape should not be trivialized into a laughing matter

it should not matter who is the target of the rape joke. whether he she is a "respected" journalist, an "ordinary" individual or even fictional, it doesn't make rape jokes any worse. it's all bad taste

second, calling Vice a f*****t makes you just as bad and tasteless as his jokes
