I get your point bro, but anything that happens on a sitcom are scripted, they were paid to be humiliated on television, and I am sure they were told beforehand about sa unsa mahitabo.

Ang nahitabo gud sa concert ni vice was jessica soho was humiliated for nothing, she was caught off-guard, wa gani siya chance to defend herself.. in a stand-up comedy, a person humiliated or joked upon has a chance to defend her/himself.

About the text message, it was just too general.. no names were dropped on that joke, so no reason to react whatsoever.
