wala hinoon ko naka lakaw dah... nag bench mark ko... para akoang ma share ninyo diri... kani, naa na gyud numbers... in the actual game play, as i've said before, comparable/similar ra sa akoang gaming rig w/ GTX 660 Ti in 2-way SLI but the "actual" benchmark result doesn't say so... naa man lagi limit ang eyes and brain in capturing the fps on a FPS game play...

    > BF3 Setting: Ultra Preset
    > resolution: 1920 x 1080
    > monitor size: 27" LEd backlit
    > gpu: Maxsun GTX 650 2GB DDR5.. akoang gi balik sa stock setting
    > cpu: Intel Pentium G840
    > mobo: Asrock H61M-ITX
    > ram: 8GB DDR3 1333 MHz (2x4GB) Kingston Blu
    > number of readings captured: 30 readings
    > BF3 game: Hostile Take Over w/ 64 players on-line
    > internet connection speed: 10 mbps
    > benchmarking software: FRAPS ver 3.5.99
    > video converter software: TMPGEnc Plus 2.5

playable ra gyud kaayo ang average fps @ 30 but ang dip, katunga pud. in actual game play, dili mabantayan na ubos kaayo... pero, naa gyud time na maka bantay ta na mo dip but negligible... hasta ang max, dili pud mabantayan nato... katunga pud ang max sa average... based sa feedback sa net, kun gamit ta'g FRAPS during benchmarking, mo drop ang frames. wala man ko lain software na lain na magamit, so, FRAPS lang sa... anyway, para ni naa ta'y idea man pud... bug-at ni ang "Ultra Preset" kay naka 4X MSAA...

kuha-an nko ug bench mark na wala'y Anti Aliasing (AA) ha para atoang ma tan-aw pud...

here's a captured video.. akoang gi convert to mpeg file kay dako kaayo ang AVi format... na usab ang visual quality... ning bati... hehehe...

oi, sorry bro, wala nako matubag ni dayon dah...

i used an Acer H274HL 27" LED backlit monitor... 1920 x 1080 max resolution... max akoang gamit... shared ug monitor, keyboard & mouse ang mini-ITX ug ang gaming rig...

dili ra nindot ug performance bro, normal ra man ni'g performance based sa HW na gamit nako... ask ta sa naka GTX 650 dha... ang BF3, mo lamoy ni siya'g more than 1GB of VRAM... basin naka tabang ni kay 2GB man ni'ng GTX 650 nako... akoa lang ning assumption na nakatabang ang VRAM ha pero, ang BF3, mo kaon gyud ug more than 1GB VRAM as can be seen sa GPU-Z...

  4. #34
here's a screen shot on GPU-Z showing that BF3 used 1.8+ GB of VRAM on my GTX 650... if your GPU has only 1GB of VRAM, ma kulangan sya inig load nya ug textures... so, gamit sya sa system memory which is slower compared if the GPU will access directly its onboard VRAM...

personally, if i'll buy a GPU nowadays (on a gaming PC or Editing rig), a 2GB VRAM is my minimum requirement...

akoang gi balik ug manual OC ang GPU after nag huka ko'g benchmark ganiha maong sa kani na image, naka OC na sya...

Gi-unsa nimo pag-sampling bro? i think taking 30 samples isnt representative enough. Naa bay built in line graph/bar graph sa fraps? Wala pa ko ka explore ani da.

Also is Adaptive Vsync turned on in nvidia settings? Kay kung naka-off sya then gi-enable nimo ang Vsync in-game kamang unta na sya. I get very low dips if wala nako i-off ang Adaptive Vsync and on ang Triple Buffering. Try turning off both Vsyncs. Lastly, if gpu imo gibenchmark, i think the single player environments are more stressing to the gpu.

Pero no doubt, kanang 60fps, mani ra na para sa G840.

Multiplayer diay nga mode sir? Well I guess that explains everything.

    Bro,

ang "Vertical Sync" setting sa Nvidia panel naka set to "use 3D Application Setting"... wla ra ko'y gi hilabtan sa Nvidia Control Panel. Default lang sya... for statistics data gathering, 30 readings is minimum. This is what we do here in Semiconductor Engineering field (my field of work) in analyzing data through sampling. akoa lang gi apply diri sa atoang analysis sa GPU...

for BF3, sa online, sauna pa ko nag basa2x, mas stressfull sa system ang "multiplayer"... mo lag ang rigs during multiplayer gaming labi na'g 64 players. sa akoa, wala man lami i duwa ang single player man gud... hehehe...

basta, akoa lang gi share diri ang experience nko aning GTX 650 2GB ha... i'm just showing that it is playable in BF3 at Ultra Presets if this game is your main concern. if Crysis 3, we'll, it is still very playable at "Low-Med" Presets" (mixed)... let the system run by defauit. kay kun "Medium Preset" tanan options sa graphics, lag sya... hinoon, Crysis 3 graphics is still very nice even on low setting. if playing Crysis 3 is the main concern at "Very High Quality Preset" then, look for a more powerful offering from both Nvidia and AMD...

ang readings sa FRAPS kay iyaha nang i-automatic log... then ang data log ang akoang gi balhin sa excel para ma graph...

suwayan nako'g kuha'g "VSync Off" and "No AA" para atoa ma compare... if dako ba'g kalahi-an sa fps pud sila... post nko once ready...

yes bro, multi player akoang gi duwa ani... based sa mga post sa net, naka experienced ang players ug lag sa rigs nila during multiplayer mode and not in playing at single player mode... multiplayer mode lang akoang gi duwa ug gi kuha-an ug fps study kay wala man lami duwa'g single player man lagi... sample links lang sa taas...

ang kanang video, awahi na nko na capture, dili na mao ang akoang gi kuha-an sa fps data nya... nahuman naman gud to na map... kato kay hapit nato mahuman during nag kuha ko sa fps study... concentrated kaayo ang players ato... pinusilay dayon... grabeh to ug pag stress sa GPU... grabeh ang PhysX computation sa ato na scene. don't know if Frosbite 3 engine will utilize the GPU or CPU during PhysX computation. Mag research pa ta ani... mura gani ang gi kaon sa na scne on the GPU VRAM kay almost 2GB na siguro (approx lang nko kay buto diri, buto did2 naman to na scene)... unlike aning sa captured video na bag-o lang gyud nag start sa ani na map... medyo, mingaw pa kay nag attack pa ang mga players... pero, ning kaon gihapon sya ug 1.8+ GB sa VRAM as can be seen on the GPU-Z... "Hostile Take Over" ni na scene gihapon hinoon, the same sa pag kuha'g fps data ug ang captured video... kawatay ug flag maong, dungan ug attack towards the enemy flag area...

Aw sorry. Sakto diay ka bro mas bug-at ang mp.

Ug kanang sampling nimo, kasabot nako. Nikuha ka ug 30 tries then imo giaverage tanang minimum, tanang average ug tanang maximum.
Dili unta ing-ana bro. 1 gathering ra kinahanglan nimo bro. Just set it for around 10-15 min siguro. Kanang values sa FPS.csv (excel) mao na sya ang mga data. Pinakaubos diha, mao ang minimum, pinakataas maximum.

  10. #40
for the minimum and maximum value, ang pinaka minimum ug pinaka maximum ang akoang gi kuha... then sa average kay double average na data ni sya... try ko pangita if ma log ba nya ang actual readings per readout para kato ang atoang kuha-an para sa "Real Average" reading not the "Double average" reading... ang real average ang exact readings dapat... for sure, mas taas to sa aning "Average reading" na akoang gi post kay lagi, double average man ni... double jeopardy na... hehehe...

ang time para mo kuha'g readouts kay akoang gi set to 5 mins (300 seconds) then 30 average readouts (with min & max per read out) para sa study... mao ni ang time na na spend nako... 5 mins x 30 readouts... total of 150 mins or 2.5 hrs para sa data gathering lang...

basin naka tabang pud ning internet connection speed nko bro noh in playing MP? 10 mbps man ni sya... i'm planning to upgrade this to 20 mbps diay... akoa pa to'ng sulti-an ang owner diri's apartment para contact sya sa China Telecom...
