Is it true that pc games too promotes/develops their creativity in some sense?
If so, its advisable and necessary to let our kids play pc games.

pc games are okay for kids as long as it is educational but when you let your kids play on some of those vicious online-games, nah... it's no good. it'll loose their interest on some other stuff especially in school.
It really depends on the content of PC video games. Like kyuusai suggested, for 7 - 10 years old these games should be educational in nature.
I think the best reason for a child to play PC games is to familiarize with the use of the computer. The child will need these computer-oriented skills in the future.
Most PC video games are 'rated', much like movies. There are games that have content, action and dialogue unsuitable for children. Just check on the box of the video game for the rating and make sure its safe for children.
And like all things, adults should supervise the hours the child spends playing computer games. If the child becomes 'addicted' to playing games and staying at home, this could be a factor to lack of social skills and even health issues like becoming over-weight.
