Oh well with this line of thinking, we might as well roll out the red carpet to welcome and kowtow to our new masters.

Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore <-- all are Chinese but totally different culture bro.

Taiwanese culture is closer to Japanese FYI.

Back to the topic, the biggest loser here is the PH since we dont have leverage in geopolitics, we are dependent economically in our rich neighbors plus our OFWs is always susceptible as a bargaining chip.

Lol. It doesnt mean they have the same culture. Have you been to those countries? No matter what you say we don't have leverage against Taiwan, lets be realistic here. Well the investigation on the side of the PH is not yet completed lets just wait and see.

How come they don't go complainin if its Japan?

TOKYO -- Japan Tuesday seized a Taiwanese fishing boat inside its exclusive economic zone, the first incident since Tokyo and Taipei signed a fishing rights accord for disputed waters, the Fisheries Agency said.

The Taiwanese fishing boat was spotted in waters near Taketomi island, part of Japan's southern Okinawa chain, the agency said.

What now that Taiwan rejects the apology? Balls to the wall situation eh?

MANILA – (UPDATE, 10:07 a.m.) Taiwan on Wednesday rejected the Philippines' official apology for the killing of the 65-year-old fisherman by the Philippine Coast Guard last week saying it was "not enough, lack of sincerity, volatile," according to a Taiwan television report.

Mao na ni, di mo dawat ang Taiwan sa Govt's official Apology.. Gusto nila ang mga Pilipino mismo nga mga taw mangayo pasaylo. To me it looks like, sanctions will come either we like it or not, i think there's nothing we can do about it.

Taipei made the decision despite an apology by Basilio after a closed-door meeting with Foreign Minister David Lin on Tuesday.

The Philippines will send special envoy Amadeo Perez to repeat his "deep regret and apology from the people of the Philippines" to the people of Taiwan and the fisherman's family, according to Basilio.

"If the Philippine government cannot satisfy our side's four demands by 6:00 pm (1000 GMT) today, our government will adopt a second wave of sanctions," Lee said.
