Filipino Movies are based on demand. I guess most of the Filipino moviegoers are still suckers for the never-ending love stories, kabit-kabit plots and the likes. And our actors may be very good in drama roles but not really well-rounded. I could not picture Piolo or John Lloyd doing an action movie without making a fool of themselves. And with the MTRCB and the Church and all the conservative people , i still think that we are a long from being Hollywood-like.

Neither could I until I saw a sample of Piolo's performance on the trailer for On The Job. Seriously, if you haven't seen the trailer, check it out -- I linked to it in my previous post. Good for him for taking risks. Hell, if I remember correctly, Piolo even said in an interview that his mother was upset with him taking the role since it kinda ruined his squeaky clean romantic lead image. I mean, seriously? Even those closest to the actors want to typecast them! That's how bad our movie industry has gotten.

    Very predictable

Boy accidentally bumps to girl, masuko ang girl. Then they meet at some other place and the rest is history.

The pancit pasalubong, basta pobre mao ni permi dad.on ig uli sa papa.
