Sword of the Stars II: Enhanced Edition by Paradox Interactive
Oh man. I played the shit out of King's Bounty as a kid. It was one of the first DOS games I played along with Xargon, Raptor, Commander Keen and Skyroads. But it doesn't count as indie because it was published by EA at the time.
I see you're a fan of 4x space RTS games as well. Try Sins of a Solar Empire.
well said... and yes, Sins of a Solar Empire ...done . haven't played the rebellion expansion yet. it is more combat oriented and while Sword of the stars is more on empire management and grand scale logistics both are very good RTS and very good pastime , actually takes a lot of time hehehehe
well the definition of "indie" applicable in not only games but also in music, or any other form of arts are those types na not funded and/or published by major corporations, most of the times refers to low-budget materials.
its not necessary na wla nisikat or dli popular, since naa may mga unpopular games but published by large studios and they are not considered Indie.

- wow bai, grabe na jd kag exposure sa games, true gamer jd ka!
do you have any game ideas you want to make someday? we can work on a partnership
Lol yeah it does take a lot of time. I remember playing SOTSE with multiplayer. It took us 4 hours to actually start fighting.
Since you're done with Solar Empire, try Endless Space. It's turn-based.
There's also an upcoming space game that's being funded on kickstarter right now. It's called Star Citizen and the game looks epic.
I forgot about Cave Story
Cave Story is a FREE platformer for the PC, 3DS, PSP. I'd say the gameplay is similar to Megaman, Castlevania and Metroid. The game feels really polished and just.. fun. This game gave me them old console fun feel. Only 1 dude developed this game for over 6 years.
Hey, YOU! go play this game NOW! It's Free!
