    They can be quite aggressive, particularly the males. An iguana bite is more serious than that of a monitor lizard, but they are more likely to whip you with their tail unless in breeding season. They have extremely sharp claws which need trimming otherwise simple handling will result in many scratches to your arms. They are good pet, but need special attention including careful veggie diet, UV light and adequate climbing space.
