CIT-U, maka ingon jd ka og p*ste daghan projects pero worth it man pod.
I'm from USC Talamban, pero daghan maayo gikan CIT ug UP dire sa industry, based on my observation...
IT graduate ko from CIT.
mao nay usa sa advantage sa USC, then ilang facilities, no doubt nga mas nindot sa USC in terms ani.
USC, CIT parehas sila duha Center of Excellence in IT sa philippines. you will not go wrong on choosing between this 2 school.
mag budget and location nlng jud ka mag agad ani. pero bisan unsa pa ka nindot ang school basta walay passion og walay interest ang istudyante, d jud na mag dugay sa IT. labi na kanang mga 1st year or 2nd year pa nimo sa course, diha man ang pinaka lisod. maka ingon jud ka nga "cge pa ta ani??" hahaha.
you want an excellent school? here you go:
College of Computer Studies : Course
you're welcome
(too bad it's not in cebu, but close enough)
Nindot sad siguro ang Coursera ug Khan Academy...

1 vote for USC
Even though I agree that what makes up a great programmer depends on the person itself, I still believe the institution plays a very big role so I wouldn't really advice on just choosing any random school. Don't rely on connections as well since more or less it won't help you if you are not that good.
I was able to attend one semester at UP and I can really compare the difference between my school. I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Cherry Lyn Sta. Romana as my teacher and so far she was one of the best if not the best teacher I had during my college days. That teacher became the Dean of CIT so I won't be surprised if several here claims that CIT has some nice products. That teacher could have reached far as a programmer/researcher but she choosed to be a teacher because of her passion.
I'll also share another information that some of you guys might not know. In Singapore, do you know that the government also takes into account from what school did you graduate? They will actually give preference to those who graduated in UP, USC, CIT, probably USJ-R as well.
So don't take your Alma mater too lightly guys. Your foundation is still important. Even though its true that some of the world's best programmers did just learn it by their own, since you will be studying anyway why not go for the best that you can afford?
