i saw a promo on the lg website for the optimus g... is this phone good? it came out some time ago, so i am afraid it will become slow too quickly.... all the newest phones are so much faster! will this phone last me a long time?

What new phones are you talking about? The news ones packing snapdragons 600's aint even out yet and there's not that much difference from a quadcore krait vs. a snapdragon 600. The apps out right now won't even take advantage from all the processing power and most average users can't/won't even notice the difference between the two soc.
BUT its an LG phone, you have to play the waiting game when it comes to upgrading a new firmware that googles chucks out..haha

What new phones are you talking about? The news ones packing snapdragons 600's aint even out yet and there's not that much difference from a quadcore krait vs. a snapdragon 600. The apps out right now won't even take advantage from all the processing power and most average users can't/won't even notice the difference between the two soc.

i just ment that the snapdragon 600 phones are already out in other countries and it will come here soon... the s4 will come out soon (not sure when the philippines will get it though)... phones get upgraded so fast T_T i feel like i have to buy the absolute latest phone to make it last me the longest hehe

HTC One..yes but in short supply. I still have my Inspire 4g aka desire hd 2.0 as a 2nd phone running on jellybean 4.2.2 stable and it can handle any games/apps out there without a problem...thanks to xda

i was actually thinking about getting the nexus 4 myself! but then i saw the facebook event and tried it out... if that doesn't work (for some reason i don't think ill win....hehee) i might go with the nexus 4...
i have a question about the nexus 4... i read it doesn't have lte? what's the different in speed from 3g and lte? wont lie... i'm spoiled and get frustrated if my facebook loads too slow on my phone! tehehe

lol. do i even need to explain myself here? As far as hardware/performance/display size , the optimus G beats the iphone easy. Read my original post.

The speed difference between 3g and lte? Alot..but thats area and network specific. You dont need LTE's 40mpbs d/l to use facebook...
Nexus 4 has LTE but it ain't official, the phone needs to run on an older radio band and having that baseband version kills the sensors on 4.2.2 firmware.
and most of the phone that came out this year is better than what the apple company has to offer...

i wish i saw this earlier.....The event ends today!! I have been wanting an optimus g so long and waiting for the price to get a bit lower.. 2,000 coupon is like almost 10% of the market price....
