Hi Smokoy25: if it's not too self-serving to suggest since I'm in the business, I'd like to recommend ShihPomaPoo Dog Hotel Pawsh Pooching
https://www.facebook.com/ShihpomapooDogHotel Pawsh Pooching
Our rates are fairly reasonable. Our grooming for small dogs is 450 only. We also offer ala carte services i.e. Shower only (200 pesos), nail clipping only (75), ear cleaning only, etc.
As for her eyes, according sa akong groomer, you have to let the hair grow so it doesn't keep on hitting her/his eyes each time it grows back. Although my vet recommends cutting them ...so I don't really know yet which way is effective. I'm still observing but you follow your gut and you can tell the groomer whatever you want for your pup.
Does your shihtzu have its extra claws? I suggest you have it de-clawed while its still young so gamay ra ang surgery and it heals faster. Those claws can cause cataract problems later on if they are not removed.
Here's our Visiting Resident Shihtzus [Princess Kola and Prince Sugbo):

So anyways, ShihPomaPoo Dog Hotel is in Mactan #3 Camia Street, Camella Homes, Lapu-Lapu City. Call 4952743 to schedule a grooming. Medyo layo pero you can hang out there if you want. We have a library there for dogs (gamay pa among books but we're growing it) and we have one guest room(at a minimal fee) for short term stay while waiting for the dogs. The room is only available for guests with dogs. We'll also be putting up a Cafe there but wala pa man naabot akong Coffee maker so pwede ka mag instant coffee lang sa didto![]()
You should check it out. We also have dog walking, doggie day care and dog boarding services there.
----- UP (kay daghan kaayo akong duplicate- back browser mistake)
I-Add na lang nako among Dog Walking service para dili ma-sayang ang abundant space below:

Thanks sa info. Nice unta na sir kaso layo man sa amo. Talisay man gud ko.
Bitaw, naa baya taga Minglanilla magpa groom sa amo - Naa pa gyud kuyog na chaperoneIf ever you are going out of town by plane, you can try leaving your dog/s at ShihPomaPoo - park it there for a few days. If you stay a minimum of 5 days, you get free shower; if 10 you get free grooming.
If you're looking for a good groomer near Talisay, the closest that I know of is Caminade in Mambaling. I used to have my dogs groomed there before I opened my Dog Hotel. Look for Ruby. Their minimum standard for small/medium is 600 pesos. Ruby is very good - very kind with dogs. Dog grooming is like finding a salon that just fits you and your dog's needs. The one thing you need to look for is how the groomer handles your dog before they are groomed. The only downside there is its a first come first serve basis so you have to get there really early since they can only accommodate a maximum of 6 dogs per day (depending on how matted the hair is) and they don't have ala carte rates - it's either all or nothing. It's more expensive if the dog's hair needs to be de-matted but the groomer can price it according to the severity of the matting. Sometimes, if the hair is really really matted and they know it will take them the whole day, they price it really high like 4000 to 5000 or more. Running a dog hotel finally helped me understand that it is not easy to de-matt a dog's hair especially if it's really severe. You'll even find plenty of surprises beneath a heavily matted hair. If you have a large breed like a Chow-Chow (some can be quite aggressive), it can get really really tricky and scary. The groomer has to be really skilled in dealing with dogs like that. In Mabolo, I used to beg them to groom one of my dogs since there was a time when Arkigirl (my mixed breed) got aggressive even with me. Now, I understand how risky it is for the groomer and its often better to shave the hair/fur off. The problem with shaving is, depending on the groomer, it can also burn some dogs and they may develop some skin allergies as a reaction to the blades (but its not permanent since it will stop as the hair grows longer).
Hope this helps.
P.S.
Don't forget to de-claw your shihtzu if it hasn't been de-clawed yet. It could be the cause of the tear stains. If the claws are still on, the culprit will most likely be the claws and not the hair. If you take it to the vet, do check for an inflamed third eyelid. Its best if its monitored so you can treat it before it gets worse.
