I was in PRC (Professional Regulatory Commission) Manila last year to process my licence ( after i passed the board). I was given several papers to fill out and one of them was the Oathtaking statement written in Tagalog. I politely asked the lady in charge if there is an English version. She sarcastically replied "Wala. Filipino tayo."

Do you really have to speak tagalog to prove your love for your country? In my opinion, Dili gyud necessary. Si Rizal bitaw nag spanish, and he was good at it.

I like hearing them speak English.

Nagka-ubos na baya atong standards in speaking English and it's good to practice para we can top Asia again.

I also like speaking in English.

its a free world. isnt it? kung binisaya man, o kaya magtagalog, in english or in any other language or dialect, frankly i dont give a ... what the other guy besides me think nor do i make a fuss on how they verbally communicate unless of course the conversation is a formal one.

Its our right, its our choice. Ang ma-irita ila sad na.

Hmm... I would have to disagree with what you just said.

Wala jud intawn sa 1987 constitution nga ang Filipino based sa Tagalog.

"The national language of the Philippines is Filipino. As it evolves, it shall be further developed and enriched on the basis of existing Philippine and other languages."

The problem is wala may language nga filipino sauna so gibase nila sa tagalog and borrowed some words from different dialects...

    Back to the topic:

Ok raman. Pero naa jud nay tatak sa ubang utok nga kun mag english gani, hilas or datu. I sometimes converse with my friends in English.

Okay ra man mag english as long as you're not doing it just to impress or catch attention.
Basta naa pud kas saktong lugar ug panahon, kay OA na kaayo kung nakigstorya nimo nagbisaya nya nag eningles ka! PAk!

Kita mo anang mga bata sa mall nga mag eningles? Some of these kids don't even know how to speak bisaya! Who the heck are the parents of these kids? It's like they're breeding a new species that are completely oblivious of what they are!

Pinoy mo oi! Tudloi inyo mga anak binisaya! Tambling mo ron!
