There's nothing creepy about Roman Catholic churches, I actually love the old ones and as for symbols? Well some do have some symbols and stuff but there's nothing creepy about them. Most symbols are usually related to God, Mary and the Saints. It's just art and the creepiness that you feel might be just powered by your imagination.
