Ok. Unsaun ni nimo pag interpret bro? Balihog lang ko ug basa the ff. What does this refers to?
Psalms 115
115 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.
Isaiah 44: 9-20
9 Those who fashion a graven image are all of them futile, and their precious things are of no profit; even their own witnesses fail to see or know, so that they will be put to shame.
10 Who has fashioned a god or cast [b]an idol to no profit?
11 Behold, all his companions will be put to shame, for the craftsmen themselves are mere men. Let them all assemble themselves, let them stand up, let them tremble, let them together be put to shame.
12 The man shapes iron into a cutting tool and does his work over the coals, [c]fashioning it with hammers and working it with his strong arm. He also gets hungry and [d]his strength fails; he drinks no water and becomes weary.
13 Another shapes wood, he extends a measuring line; he outlines it with red chalk. He works it with planes and outlines it with a compass, and makes it like the form of a man, like the beauty of man, so that it may sit in a house.
14 Surely he cuts cedars for himself, and takes a cypress or an oak and [f]raises it for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir, and the rain makes it grow.
15 Then it becomes something for a man to burn, so he takes one of them and warms himself; he also makes a fire to bake bread. He also makes a god and worships it; he makes it a graven image and falls down before it.
16 Half of it he burns in the fire; over this half he eats meat as he roasts a roast and is satisfied. He also warms himself and says, “Aha! I am warm, I have seen the fire.”
17 But the rest of it he makes into a god, his graven image. He falls down before it and worships; he also prays to it and says, “Deliver me, for you are my god.”
18 They do not know, nor do they understand, for He has smeared over their eyes so that they cannot see and their hearts so that they cannot comprehend.
19 No one recalls, nor is there knowledge or understanding to say, “I have burned half of it in the fire and also have baked bread over its coals. I roast meat and eat it. Then I make the rest of it into an abomination, [i]I fall down before a block of wood!”
20 He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside. And he cannot deliver himself, nor say, “Is there not a lie in my right hand?”
9 Those who fashion a graven image are all of them futile, and their precious things are of no profit; even their own witnesses fail to see or know, so that they will be put to shame.
Does this mention graven images
of GOD the Holy Father of Jesus Christ?
The image mentioned there
Bro is not GOD, but the created God
of men.
I cannot take any picture with me which I am not sure its her.
Pero kung mabasa nimo sa bible, you dont need to have images/ visual aids to worship God. He can only be worshipped in spirit.
Hehehe

argument, discussion, sharing, exchanging of ideas is not exactly what's happening in this thread
starting from the thread title to the rediculous claims. as if one really wanted to know the details instead of imposing ideas
then research is the best and appropriate way, reasearch even from oppsoing perspectives.
compromising in a sense nga imbes we focus on the things that binds us as Christians
like kanang mga claims about paganism in the Catholic church,
don't get me wrong, i understand why you see the church as such, but wouldn't you at least give us the benefit of the doubt
before concluding? mao nay compromise dihang dapita...imbes we talk about Christ and how he has changed our lives
so we can bless others as witnesses of the Risen Lord, we talk about our differences that are mere specualtion, personal interpretation
and most of all wouldn't bring a smile on the face of God...yes the smiling face of God...Lol
yes your point is taken
but the example is invalid, bible verses and traditions are not of the same level with correcting a house nga nagtakilid...
ani man gud ni bai, with each one of us being capable of interpreting bible verses,
and each denomination can have a different stand on practices..
how do you suggest we interpret the word of God and follow the traditions without the Apostolic Succession?
i don't mean to compare ha, because of personal and denominational interpretations, we now have 33,000 or more protestant churches..
lahi-lahi pa jud nag stand sa mga interpretations and practices..
while sa Catholic Church, mao ra jud gihapun na amung stand since early Christianity...
wala pa na compile ang Bible bai, the practices and sacred traditions are already in the picture
Priests and catechist ,catholic educators do not do the interpreting but in reference to sacred scriptures and traditions.
there is always a reference sa amung gipangbuhat bai.
aw ganiha ra, kahuman nakos tanang misteryo sa rosaryo...Lol
wala man mo naglalis bahin sa kamatuoran...ang inyo gilalaisan ang picture man...problema lang kay second idea ra sad nga gihimo sad sa laing tawo...paghimo mog inyo idea gyud bi...sorry bro break, undangon na nato ng youtube2x oi...bible base man kaha ta?
where in the catechism of the RCC states that the images are needed inorder to worship God in spirit and in truth?
but we can all agree as physical beings, with this physical body as a barrier in the spiritual realm where the fullness of God is revealed
it is a lot easier to stay in tune if we can have something tangible..
uu agree kaayo ko anang worship in spirit and in truth, naa gud na sa Bible
but if you say sayop nang naay representation, ni ingun ba ang Ginoo nga kung mu worship ta niya dapat wala jud tay tan.awun? giingun ra is through spirit and in truth, ang paagi kay it wala jud bya gi specify..
the universe and the wonders of the earth even represents the glory of God, and when i look at the stars, it makes me stand in awe of God's freatness therefore leading me to worship Him.
Lol
in our quite time, personal time with the Lord or worship service
maski pag walay representation bro, if one's heart is not in tuned to the Lord, wala ra gihapun nay bili..
while magtan.aw kas picture sa Ginoo, ma reminded ka sa iyang Love for you...
therefore taking you to a deeper meditation in Christ's passion and sacrifice...
do you think wala na nagworship in spirit and in truth ang maong tao?
should have a firm basis.
