Actually, I respect those who worship God with graven images because some find worshipping God satifying with those images. But worshipping God must be in the spirit (John 4:24). So if mugamit kag visual aid to worship God, those are unnecessary nasad.

Anyway, if you think padung ni to discredit sa Catholic Church and Papacy, puedi man sad mu maghimo ug thread discussing that those who apply "independent interpretation" of the bible to be wrong. I believe this is one way of how you should respond those who criticize objectively.

Kung respeto ra muy hisgutan, that is more of concerning feelings of others man gud. Like "we should stop saying such things because somebody might get hurt". But if that is our basis to stop people saying things, hain naman diay ilang freedom? If it is the truth, then those people will be branded as compromisers. And truth should not be compromised.
