if most of the TU will win... abuses will continue as it is happening now. For me these are no scare tactics, it's happening.

You're afraid of what is to happen? Be afraid of what is happening.

I have every reason to vote more on GO rather than people who are blindly behind every move from GMA... Defensor, Singson, Pichay and Zubiri. And I will only vote for Arroyo and Recto who are more independent minded, than those robots who only know how to say "YES MA'AM, PIPILITIN NATIN"

If majority of the GO candidates will win we may expect another plot to oust GMA then. Especially if thos strongly supported by Erap are the ones who will win, we must brace ourselves for another revolt. It is obvious though hidden in promising words. Erap said, "revolt against poverty and corruption." The only reason he was able to say that is because the opposition is capitalizing the corruption ranking the Philippines is in lately. How ironic that the battle against corruption came from no less than the most corrupt leader in the Philippines.

If GO wins, they will focus on kicking the President's butt from the office. That means, no bill hearings, no committee hearings, and legislation (especially the important ones) will be seriously stalled.

    Here's the catch:

If GO succeeds in kicking the president's butt extraconstitutionaly (same scenario that leads to EDSA II), Philippines will be in history books. As far as I remember, Gov. Garcia of Cebu and Mayor Duterte of Davao threatens to secede their respective places if the president is ousted in extra-constitutional means (Mabuhi ang Republika sa Sugbu! Toinks!).

If GO succeeds in kicking the president's butt in a constitutional way, I expect violent riots all over Metro Manila. However the economic progress of our once-glorious state will fall (just like the Asian Finanical Crisis of 1997).

^^ That's all they can promise. They are really capitalizing on the premise that GMA will be ousted if they will win. As if all of the country's problems will be resolved in one snap if they will win. They are not even presenting concrete solutions to the present problems of the people. How they will resolve these problems if ever they win are still vague for me.

All I can say is that you are stating probable scenarioes... what i'm seeing is happening scenarios

    - extra-judicial killings
    - fertilizer scam
    - amaw na justice secretary (Raul Gonzales)

admin like this... we need an opposition.

the instability we have now is not because of ERAP, it's because of Hello Garci.

Former exec confirms PCSO paid for gov’t bets’ ads in 2001
    By Norman Bordadora
    Inquirer

MANILA, Philippines -- A former board secretary of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Monday confirmed that PCSO funds were used to bankroll the media campaign of the People Power Coalition, the political party of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s administration in the 2001 elections.

Lawyer Cirilo Avila also confirmed the authenticity of a tape recording that allegedly contained the proceedings of a PCSO board meeting in 2001. The tape had then PCSO chair Honey Girl Singson-de Leon supposedly discussing campaign spending with then general manager Virgilio Angeles.

“There were indeed ad placements for the People Power Coalition and these were paid for with PCSO funds meant for PCSO advertisements,” Avila said in a news conference Monday.

“This could be happening again in this election period,” he added.
    we really need some opposition...
