I am a mother of 8, 6 girls and 2 boyz . 7 of them are in school, my eldest is a freshman in UP Cebu taking up Biology - a DOST scholar, my second child is a SK councilor ,a 4th year H.S. consistent honor student and had gone to the national competion/regional competion in journalism. the 3rd one is a girl a 2nd year H.S. in Science High School her in our place.and my 4th child is also a consistent 1st honor and also with my 5th and 6th, the 7th has just started his first preparatory days in school.
This is a gift given by God....to me. I have send them to school even sa among ka poor. Would you believe my hubby is only taxi driver.........? and me its just a plain housewife anymore , God give me this work and i had discovered that i had this talent(recently lang active in floral arrangements and event designer no longer in real estate). Nothing I could ask for more........

I wanna update this thread now year 2013... (4 years after )

My eldest is now a 4th year in B.S. bio in same School UP cebu, my 2nd child is 2nd year college taking BS IT ; my 3rd child is a full scholar in Benedicto College taking up BS comp. Science she isin her 3rd year this coming June..while the 4th is in his 3rd year in High School in Mandaue city Science High , while the 5th is a DOST scholar in Mandaue city comprehensive High and tend to transfer in her Grade 8 @ Mandaue Sci. High
while the rest are in the Elementary and are still part of the top ten..they excel in different field of arts..
So ...God is super Good to me...even the hardships in life i had been I proudly say poverty is not a hindrance in what ever you wanted in Life to achieve..basta you have FAITH and you have a good HEART...and most of all never stop to try ..

^^this is no time to take the sufferings of others to light. we all have a heart for them but please understand this is a mother's thread.
it's no easy raising 8kids, if you are a parent you should know.

it is true that you don't need to spend so much money for your kid's education. daghan na kaayo scholarship ron specially kung bright lang imong anak. you did good raising your kids.

i am so strict in terms of disciplining them , mas mahadlok sila nako kaysa ilang papa...then i never showed them a bad example as a parent
like anang:

1. inig abot nila from school wala ang mama, walay linung ag, hugaw ang balay, walay laba ang uniform kay tua ang mama nag mahjong or tong its, or naa sa mga silingan ..
2. wala pud sila kakita nako nga nag inom ...nor nag laag-laag.
3. if naa koy lakaw i inform them, nga madugay ko ug uli with the true reason...i never lied to my kids...

I didnt tend to question God about that...because , before i got that all , I have also my sufferings, I belong to a broken family, and it is very difficult that you are in that situation, I long for the love and the parayeg for a mother, because my mother leave us during my early years, and my father married again. we have to adopt the situation nga naa kay lain nga Mama, which is very difficult sa imong part...kay lahi ra jud ang tinood nga Mama....
I really love my children, they are my best and most valuable possesions i have in my life and nothing can beat it.
