I just talked to an SA for the RIO. The price is hilarious that you could even buy a Top of The Line Elantra (1.8GLS)

    868,000.00 For 1.4 EX (AT)
928,000.00 FOR 1.4 EX Hatch (AT) -> The Jazz GD is smiling right now!!! Around 845k for the 1.5 TOTL (top of the line variant), w/ 100CC More displacement...

Ang 1.4 AT, mura ra ug spec sa 1.3E Vios, w/ 100CC More on the Displacement Department (But obviously it looks better than the Vios). Driver Side Air bag only. I wasn't able to notice if its ABS-EBD na pud ba kaha. No Fog Lights, though 60-40 Folding Rear Seats, pretty spacious luggage.

It's a nice car though, but the question is, who else would want to own it, knowing that an accent w/ a similar specs cost 150K less than that. Considering both is sporting the same 1.4GAMMA Engine, both shares the same Production Technology....

Would it be another SOUL in the making? Just my opinion though...

Saw the sedan on SM last week. The hatchback cost around 999k! Manila dealers price it at 838K What's with the almost 200K difference? And for that price you'd rather pick up a Civic 1.8S AT. The SA told me for cash prices they can match the prices in Manila @ 838K

    Guys,

I recently bought a KIA RIO EX AT 2012. The selling price is P 899,000. And the Hyundai Accent 1.4L GL AT is P 740,000. Difference of P 159,000. More or less same specs. But don't be turn off with the price. Because in 5 years installment. Hyundai Accent is P 50,000 more compared to KIA. I had a quotation with both Kia and Hyundai before deciding which car to buy. I even haggled for the price for both, it turned out KIA is much more cheaper in the long run. That is one of the reasons why I choosed KIA Rio instead of the Hyundai Accent. the other reason is the design. The Kia Rio looks more like a European Car compared to the Hyundai Accent which is very Asian looking car. The Dashboard is 2 tone for the Kia Rio. and other factors I considered like the trade in plans for the future which KIA accepts.

Then the registration, chattel n etc. are all in. its Free with Kia
