    Default Panaad Sa Negros this April


    The Panaad sa Negros Festival is a week-long thanksgiving celebration that showcases the best of Negros Occidental in terms of its rich history, culture and arts, trade, commerce and industry, tourism and investment potentials, via the theme booths of different cities and municipalities of the province as well as tha various programs, activities and special events.

    The executive order was issued in order to ensure the smooth and successful implementation of this annual event, dubbed as the "Festival of Festivals" in the province, by creating the different committees that will facilitate the overall planning, implementation, coordination, and supervision of various programs and events of the festival.

    Here are some pics of the different booths you can see at the Panaad Park

    Bago City Theme Booth. It showcases their own products such as muscovado sugar, kuakoy and bags made of pandan leaves.

    Municipality of Calatrava. Displays their own Native Bags and Baskets made of pandan leaves

    Municipality of Himamaylan Theme Booth. Was founded in 18th century, it became the 2nd capital of Negros Island from 1795-1849. The town's historical mark, the Spanish Kota (Fortress) was the seat of the old Spanish Government.

    Sagary City Theme Booth. One of the finest tourist spots of Sagay City is the Carbin Reef. Different kinds of marine species are found in the coastal area.

    Municipality of Toboso Theme Booth

    Silay City Theme Booth.
    The City of Silay was then known as the "Paris of Negros" - the center of arts and culture in the Province. Silay has also been declared by the National Historical institute as one of the two "living city museums' in the Philippines and one of the 25 anchor tourist destinations in the country.

    Talisay City Theme Booth. Talisay City prides with having the oldest preserved ancestral home in Negros Occidental, the Balay ni Tana Dicang. Built in 1880. This Balay na Bato with its furniture, objects d' art, china & memorabilia is a living monument to a genteel era full of the charm and hidden strength of the old world.

    La Carlota City Theme Booth. Their main product is sugar. The La Carlota Sugar Central is the biggest sugar mill in Negros Occidental. One of the tourist attractions of La Carlota is the Guintubdan Nature Camp. Near the campsite is the Guintubdan Visitors Reception Center and Garden, and the cascading falls amid lush valleys.

    Cadiz City Theme Booth. Displays their own products such as dried fish, decors made of seashells and its premier tourist destination is Lakawon Island Resort. This white sand island located off the coast of Cadiz Viejo is accessible by motor vehicle and then by pump boat.

    Municipality of Isabela Theme Booth

    Municipality of Valladolid Theme Booth. Humay (palay) is the main product of the Municipality of Valladolid. Humay-humay festival falls every 28th of February

    Bacolod CityTheme Booth. The replica of Bacolod Public Plaza Bandstand.
