game 1: pistons 95, bulls 69

experience proved a lot better than youth in this game. but what made detroit a lot deadlier is their drive and motivation to win the title back. pistons coach flip saunders said "the pistons are more focused now than last season's playoffs".

detroit backcourt totally outplayed chicago's. chauncey billups and richard hamilton combined for 40 points (20 points a piece) and did a gret job slowing down hinrich and specifically gordon. ben gordon was limited way below his usual numbers and finished only with 7 points in 2/9 shooting. tayshuan prince on the other hand won his game 1 match-up with luol deng. prince limited the deng, chicago's most consistent scorer to only 18 points (way below his 25 ppg against miami).

detroit bench was also a big factor in the game. jason maxiell had 12 points and antonio mcdyess grabbed 10 rebounds. lindsey hunter, although ended up scoreless played good defense for the pistons.

ben wallace wasn't able to make much noise for the bulls. big ben had 9 points and only 8 rebounds and a block in his first playoffs game against his former team

being a Detroit Fan for I dunno how long, I'd still give the Bulls respect. I think they can get two games from the Pistons in this series barring any injuries to players of either teams.
