Like some beginners here, I do get frustrated by being kicked by the butt in my first level 2 star boss called 'great janggi' got killed twice using long sword and heavy bowgun, on my 3rd try I decided to use GS and watch these monsters move, its like in real life hunting were you are observing the monster behavior and their moveset. Remember bro na being greedy to attack will get you killed, dli ni xa DMC. Key to success is to dodge, look for counter attack, run, rinse and repeat. I like this game since even if you power grind you where not able to break this game and turn it into easy game like what I did in FE:A.

its all about exploiting a monster's weakness.

try to see where it lives. it will give you an idea of what element it is based.
then you can find out what elements to use against it.

One way to find out also is to look at the blacksmith.
When you have slain a monster, you will yield materials, if you have materials, pwede ka magcraft.
Tanawa ang attributes ka available na craft item (armor). the least number on an element is the element its weakest to.

Elemental attacks on the a monster's weak spot is devastating.

Also, when a monster is at rage mode, its move set is different. it gets more bada*s also.
What i do is deploy a trap, then beat the cr*p out of the monster.
Ig human sa trap, balik na sya normal mode. sayon na dayon.

You don't need to level up for multiplayer, in fact when we played dthronian did most the killing and often I just observed.

I was able to upgrade my bone dual blades because of playing with him and awesome jud to monster nga molupad and mo tira og fireballs so unreal that it felt like fighting the real thing.

Disadvantage lang sa "Tavern" quest kay difficulty. Kung UP ka sa challenge then go ahead!

For instance, 250k ang life sa MONSTER unya pwede 4 people ang mag hunt in 50 mins. Pero kung ikaw ra sara or duha mo, the monster's HP is stil 250k! That's why I suggest nga unahon jd tawon tng pinakalisod basta mag HUNT with friends )

mujoin jud. kay idol man pud nako ni ang MH series.
already gave more than 500 (sum of three games) hours of my life on this. hehe

plus, we cant deny that most MH veterans grew up on PSP MH series.
