SIO .... It would be absurd to associate MAGISTERIUM to PERSONAL OPINIONS .

Yes some members agree but it doesnt mean that they dont know what the SCRIPTURES and TRADITIONS holds , protects and teaches.

Just like how you guys redeem yourselves through SOLA FIDE when in fact , by commonsense , it is not. See the relevance now ? But then , kay inyoha man pod na according to Martin Luther , it is enough for us to know how you embrace the teachings of Martin Luther . We have to move on . That would reciprocal , and just like how the RCC thread stoodfast of its integrity , one has to move on regardless of unsay tubag , much mroe if its tyhe magisterium of the RCC .

So that is the answer , TRADITIONS and SCRIPTURES holds equal AUTHORITY . Dili mahitabo na ang RCC mo allow na naay KAMINYUON sa SHEPHERDS ( kaparian ) .

OK, Just want to know their PERSONAL OPINIONS, happy?

With regards to Faith, I have my own belief and understanding on that matter and not necessarily the same as others you've met. So i cant comment on that kay OT nman.

It doesnt follow actually kay ipamugos na man nimo sa entirety of the church not until now that you clarified , PERSONAL OPINIONS ra man diay ang gukod nimo either from Cardinal O'brein or some forumers here which I am sure mga non RCC ang nanubag , you can clearly manifest sa replies sa RCC members , then go ahead . I just dont know unsay objective nimo since some already gave opinions that even way disrespectful na to a point , nahimong hilarious na nuon because of IGNORANCE .

Did I argue about the church law? I am arguing the personal opinions of forumers, if ilang basis is Church Doctrines ila sad na but I am not questioning the RC doctrines, i am questioning their opinion on some issues. Muabot man jud na sa lalis madugay ug pangutana usahay ma OT but its more on personal level/opinion rather that RC doctrines in particular. As i said I am now more on discussing personal opinions rather than questioning church doctrines kay inyu sad na. Ayaw palabi ug assume.

Dili ta kaboot sa Vatican ug unsa ilaha gusto ... pero dili obliged ang pari nga mag celibate ... para sa akoa its an abuse sa vatican ... maau pang orthodox mag minyo pa ilaha pari .... kay ang gi ingon mas maau dili mag minyo pero ug dili kaya pagminyo ... so therefore dili obliged ang tawo nga celibate ug mo serbisyo sa Ginoo.

Kini pud dako ni lalisonon ...

note that scripture does not use the word priest (Greek hiereus, hebrew cohen) for them but over seer (Greek episcopus= bishop) and deacon(diakonos= servant)

wala diay priest gi mention sa Bible ... imbento lang gihapon na sa Vatican ...

Here we go again. Self interpretation man na imo brad. If Catholics cant accept what the Church teaches, they are automatically protestants wether they accept it or not. To be Catholic, they have to accept Church teachings in its entirety.

Let me clarify one point. The Church DOES NOT forbid anyone to marry. There are married priests in the Catholic Church, and each case is subject to the scrutiny of the Holy See.

Celibacy as a common practice in the Latin Church started in the 2nd century, especially during the persecution of Christians in Rome.

It was a discipline imposed to address a specific need in the Church of Rome at that time: Single men are preferred in the ministry of the priesthood and the diaconate because they are do not have to worry about their families if ever they will face persecution. They can move around freely to administer the sacraments to other Christians without having to worry about protecting their families.

Likewise, Justin Martyr testified that Christians have practiced polygamy especially in the first 8 centuries, and although Church leaders rebuked them, there is no definitive Church teaching yet.

Only that, the Catholic Church in the 8th century determined the DISCIPLINE for monogamous marriage, that is why monogamous marriages is the norm today especially among Christians. The same thing happened with the discipline of celibacy among the clergy.

Christians in other places does not have to worry about celibacy because they have not experienced the severe persecution of Christianity, as what Roman Christians did. Therefore, they carried their tradition of married priests but their bishops have to be celibate monks chosen from the monastic circles.

Celibacy actually has been beneficial to the growth of Latin Christianity especially in evangelizing the different parts of the earth. Although it is the norm for priesthood, married clergy is still in the Church.

Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI has been instrumental in converting entire congregations of Protestants to Catholicism. Entire communities in the Anglican and Episcopal Churches converting to Catholicism was granted the privilege of married clergy by the Pope.

For example, when entire parishes of the Anglican Church in England converted to Catholicism last year, with about 400,000 members and 600 priests, the Pope Benedict XVI was generous enough to grant these (married) clergy the privilege of priesthood within the Catholic Church.

Also, when 100 parishes of the Episcopal Church converted en masse to Catholicism the other year, the (married) priests retained their positions as pastors of the congregations. This is to show that married clergy is not an alien thing to the Catholic Church.

Primarily, the foremost reason why celibacy is reinforced as a discipline in the Catholic Church is: Celibacy leaves the priest free to more fully commit his life to the service of the Lord and the laity.

I hope this clears everything! :-)
