para nako DILI NA... ngano? niagi na to glory days sa mga kuponan nga bangiitan... daghan napud tag mga leagues sa basketball angay ghapon epatronize.. PBL is one.. MBA was the epitome of regionalistic pride among filipinos sa lain lain region... pero it was all that... pride and glory among local players...sa madugay.. kuhaon ra ghapon na ang musikat adto sa PBA... murag stepping stone lang ghapon...

IT was all good while it last... and para nako.. we should move on to other things nalang instead of pondering what has gone past na...

actually bai, hapit bya to manirado ang PBA tungod sa MBA, nag adjust cla sa ilang rules and policies para lang masurvive,

and anyway ang MBA kay naka sustain ug pila ka tuig, which means feasible cya, its during the time na nihawa na ang ABS-CBN as major sponsor sa league mao to na lugi na, kay wla namay exposure ang mga games sa national TV.

Kung milyonaryo ko, this is my suggestion to the PBA administration.

1. convert PBA to regionalize or inter-city event with one PBA team adopting a home city. therefore, the owner of that NBA team will be the one to manage and handle the city.
advantage: one brand can dominize a single city or region, example if TNT adopts Cebu, then the TNT brand will be all over Cebu!
disadvantage: the travel and its cost ofcourse.
example: Manila Bolts (from Meralco Bolts)

Hows this possible: mahhhn, look at the PBA season now, they are doing its regular games in provinces, sa davao, sa mactan sa bacolod, that means that travel is feasible! the fact alone that MBA survive for almost 6 years.

2. The Philippines is way behind the Asian nation when it comes to basketball achievement and even in FIBA ranking. other non-basketball dominance country like Japan or Korea is even higher than us.
therefore, it needs a Law to promote this sport, how you say?
how about a certain province or a metro city adopts or co-adopts a basketball team? thus forming the teams for a regionalize PBA league?
by c0-adopting the city or provincial government will share the cost with a private owner. some teams in NBA has this model.

Philippines should not aspire to become elite in a sport where height is might. mas maayo pa tingali football nalang I-promote diri. dako pa tag chance sa football. murag maglisod ta kung basketball.

On Topic: isa sa weakness sa regional type nga parehas sa MBA sa una, kay ang mga pobre nga mga cities, pildi kanunay sa mga progressive nga cities. I think nalugi man to ang MBA kay gagmay ra man ang capacity sa gymnasium sa uban cities. siguro Cebu, manila and Bacolod have good capacity gymnasiums, pero kung adto ka ug uban cities, 2,000 ra ang capacity sa ilang gym. and besides, dili pud kayo daghan ang population sa uban cities, gamay ra ang gym, gamay ra ang tawo nga motan-aw sa dula. so lugi ang mga teams nga naa sa gagmay nga lugar.

OK ni nga suggestion...maau pud kung macover sa TV ning mga probinsya nga daghan pa kaayu ug kuwang...aron d mafocus ang gobyerno sa manila...tanang asenso naa na didto, tungod kay d mn matagad ning gagmay nga province.
