up for today!
mas barato man gihapon ang mga FSP, mayta to ug barato pa gyud gamay...
bro, the "80Plus certification" is not a "MUST" but a "Nice to have"... sticker ra mana. any manufacturer can put that "sticker" on their PSU even its only rated @ 75% efficiency or less. to be sure, check the write-up/ review sa internet about the "brand and model" kay 3rd party man gyud ang nag test ug nag himo sa report.
its' all about marketing strategy... a review from a 3rd party gyud is needed as a proof on the worthiness & truthfulness of the product... in this case, the PSU...
true..since pwde ra d.i ibutang sa mga manufacturers even its 75% eff..why not put it on their box?..is it odd dba?..or maybe theres a reason?. .it a marketing strat man sad bsag sticker rana nga pwde ibutang ateast for the consumers peace of mind..labi na when something goes wrong.."unahon sa nko uban components ug check 80+ cert btaw ni ako psu" dli kau stress huna2x on.hehe
and most people dont really go into reviews..esp bag.o release pirti pa nihita ang review pangitaon..naa gani chances wlay makit.an.
^ they use their new logo on the 80+ efficiency diay... "80Plus and Green"= "ErP Lot 6" compliant product... kanang akoang gi butangan ug red arrow, mao na ang logo sa CM on their ErP Lot 6 certified PSUs... "the new standard"... on their site and on the spec (as reflected on the box of the PSU), gi mention ni nila if ErP Lot 6 ready na ang model... again, a marketing tool...
basin sa label nya, naa did2 ang old 80Plus logo... namasin lang ko...

Every psu brand has its own share of poor products. Basically, people should stay away from their cheapest product. Opt for their next-in-line instead. Enermax gani nga ilado sa ilang mga psus naa pay dili kasaligan nga model - the Tomahawk II.
Like what is said above, it's best to read reviews. Kung walay available, salig lang sa brand and how they handle their warranty (kung 7 years warranty na, sure gyud nga kasaligan na). Ayaw lang ta salig sa sticker..
^ korek gyud ni...
sa atoa na case, pwede ta mag pa himo dha ug sticker na "80Plus Platinum" then i-papilit dayon nato sa atoang PSU... hehehe...
kani ai, for a gaming PSU w/ a five years manufacturers warranty then affordable ra pud... check Cooler Master's GX series...
allow me to share an experience... last year lang...
usa ni sa akoang choices ang CM GX 750W for my gaming rig. pero, bati man ang review sa GX 750W nila na. maong, i just shy away from it and spanked the Xilence XP1000W kaso, lemon man ang unit na nadawat nko... kapaets, nag likay ko's isa, tua ko na abot sa lemon pa gyud. hinoon, wla probs diri inig mag pa ilis ta. no sweat... dali ra kaayo... ah, puslan man, palit ko'g Corsair TX750W... dah... swak lagi... kun mag basa ko's review sa net, dili mag sakit akoang buot kay ok man ang reviews... then, wala pud sya mag mahay kay swak ang load niya na akoang gibutang... both of us are happy... wwweeee... hehehe
