Default English speaking Filipinos - what's your opinion?

What's your opinion or what's your reaction when you hear an obvious Pinoy speaks english right next to you?

Personally, i dont have any problem with that. Since English is also one our country's official languages, so i think there is nothing wrong with that.

Two official languages --- Filipino and English. Filipino, which is based on Tagalog, is the national language. English is also widely used and is the medium of instruction in higher education.

Eight ( 8 ) major dialects spoken by majority of the Filipinos: Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, Hiligaynon or Ilonggo, Bicolano, Waray, Pampango, and Pangasinense.

For me, whether correct or wrong grammar, weird or american accent as long as it has correct pronounciations, you will do just fine if you're around me.

only for instruction and communications... other than that, wala na. Still National Language is Filipino only.

    1987 Constitution
    Article XIV

Section 6. The national language of the Philippines is Filipino. As it evolves, it shall be further developed and enriched on the basis of existing Philippine and other languages.

Subject to provisions of law and as the Congress may deem appropriate, the Government shall take steps to initiate and sustain the use of Filipino as a medium of official communication and as language of instruction in the educational system.

Ako mas gusto e improve ang akong english rather than my tagalog. Not that i hate tagalog, it's just my personal reason or life or career plan. English can make my voice be heard practically all over the world. I have a plan to write a book someday. Presently, i'm updating my blog on a weekly basis.
