i tried converting RGB design into CMYK kay ang designer nag too nga pang website ra... pag billboard diay.... pwerteng hasula... unya lain raba style sa bombay kay ug mabayran na dili na mo tubag sa pangutana...

i became a graphics designer for a week... hapit napawt ako ulo (opaw man ko) kinawt..

lessons learn jud... make sure what is the purpose of the design and what is intended to be in, either printed or web...

well said sir Daiquiri. i learned about this fact through personal experience, pila k print shops ako nasuwayan sauna. it made me wonder as to why i cant get a printed tarp design to look the same as the one i made sa pc. the lightness of the colors is the most obvious difference.

i would not have realized this if not for that one and only print shop attendant that asked me this one specific question... "sir, nka CMYK or RGB ni imong ipa print?" he then educated me about the difference and usage of each. sa tanan print shop ako nasuwayan, wa sd gyd nka pangutana nko ana.. usual e ask is ang size mn... then print.

    @TS

Thanks, i learned that from school though and through personal experiences, converting may not be the best possible solution always, if you are doing it for screen purposes then go directly for rgb and likewise cmyk for print. If you do both, do it first in rgb since cmyk has lesser colors compared to rgb.

RGB has a bigger scope than CMYK so meaning, mas daghan og colors
ang RGB part ra ang CMYK ana with lesser colors
RGB - light while CMYK - ink

if you use RGB to print, there are most probably big chances nga mausab ang colors nimo ig print

RGB is always used for web related stuffs since you dont use ink.
CMYK by the term CMYK itself cyan magenta yellow and key (black) - which are the colors of the ink
    para gyud sa printing materials.

So kadtong mga wala kahibaw ani kay at least now you know.

And printers are never RGB by the way.

It's true, as said above, that CMYK is best for print and RGB for monitors. Also, they have different color ranges.
