thats why basketball is a team sport. jordan can't win titles alone, same is through with kobe and shaq. jordan, pippen, rodman, kukoc and the rest of the bulls complement each other just like shaq, kobe, fox, george, horry and the rest of the lakers. one man can't just win titles. but comparing jordan and kobe, so far, its all mj. though he had great teammates like scottie pippen, the bulls won 6 titles under his leadership. kobe on the other hand had 3 of his own, but he worked as a shadow of big daddy shaq. he had big playoffs and finals moments during that time but it was clear that o'neal owned the lakers during that time.

maybe the time will come when kobe will mature. he's still halfway of his career. he could still improve further and develop leadership abilities. he still has the chance to become the world's greatest, he could still surpass jordan.

Exactly my point. We all know Jordan could rack up the points almost at will. You said yourself that he was a clutch player. So I don't think point production would've been if he was around. Plus his leadership would've also been the Bull's biggest asset. Pippen wasn't ready to be the leader, testament to that would be his argument against Phil Jackson during that game against the Knicks.

Nah my point was even if MJ did lead the team...they still will fall short. The problem was the Bulls didn't have another counter punch to carry the load in both D and O and also draw double teams. They could prolly win against the Knicks since MJ is more clutch than Pip but they don't stand a chance against the Rockets...The Dream and his posse was simply too much

Kobe's had a season and this one to buff up on his post play. He could've been the premiere post player in his team if not the Western Conference if he really wanted to. That's how good he is.

He can't they're developing Andrew Bynum, and Kwame "butter fingers" Brown for post play and Odom does post work as well plus Jordan had waaay more years to develop his post game. You can't do it in just two seasons.

90's NBA wasn't a bed of roses either. You had teams like Detroit -can someone say the Jordan Rules?-, New York, Houston, Orlando and a whole lot more. Players like Dumars and Starks killed on the court. Yes naa lagi Zone Defense today, but the league also took out hand-checking, and the ability of a post defender to put a double forearm in the back of a post player. Jordan got his ass whooped back then but he was still unstoppable that it took double- no triple teams to contain him. Kobe struggles with Artest and Bowen. He might've elbowed Ginobili in the face and a bunch of other guys, but if he did that to Dumars and Barkley. He would've been run over. Seriously.

True 90s players are no pushovers but as what I've said today's players are more athletic and are more knowledgeable on how to defend the post thanks to advancements in training in which there are more scientific approaches to the game to give players that edge. Not to mention, if you noticed the usual nemesis of MJ like Starks, Dumars heck I'll even throw Nick Anderson who are shorter and lighter than MJ. Those are factors to consider why he can hold his position in the post with prolly the exception of The Round Mound of Rebound or chuck (Charles Barkley). While Kobe has to contend the likes of Ron Artest and Bowen who are both taller and almost as agile. Ron is 40 lbs heavier and Bruce is 20 lbs lighter but then again he has long arms to contest your shots.

the only difference was...kobe became pro when he was in high school.. the kid from italy who stands at 6'6 went straight to the NBA surpassing the guys at college.. and people thought, who the hell does he think he is? and yeah they started hating him for that.. they hate him coz they're JEALOUS!!! Before kobe made that jump to the pro's, there were already high school players in the league, all of them centers, big guys more promising.. i think kobe was the first guard to make that jump from hs.. they hated kobe so much that when the lakers come to town, they buy tickets just to see him.. hahahahaha..

why can't this guys appreciate an individual who gives so much effort just to give the true basketball fans what they really want?

great players thrive for big and clutch games. phoenix just torched the lakers 126-98, and worst, kobe was limited to only 15 points in 5-for-13 shooting. its very uncharacteristic for kobe for such a subpar performance considering that he's considered as one of the most lethal scorers in the game. this is not the first time this happened, last season, he almost gave up on that game 7 against the suns where people criticized him as a ballhog and selfish player.

it seems kobe is only good in the regular season or if he's playing along side a noted star like shaquille o'neal. he has never really proved his worth in the playoffs or in the games that mattered the most

makoy: here's my answer bro.. we was limited by 15pts because coach(phi) let him limit his shots...phil wants to let his teammates involve the game. So kobe pass the ball a lot and let the teammates shoot but unsaon man mga taga PBL mani iyang mga kauban..they can't finish their job... walton 2-8, odom 4-12...etc. thats the difference if you have kerr, pippen, rodman (rebounding and defensive presence), ron harper.

Here's another thing...
1. Phoenix has more talent than the LA rosters...
2. LA has nooo defense whatsoever plus Waton and Kwame are not 100% (Ankle injuries)

So don't bash Kobe on his performance...
if he shoots too much, got big scores and a few assist or none at all..still people thinks he sucks
