depends on what kind of STD you have. not all STD's have the same symptoms. but some common ones are :

- itching, pain or burning when urinating (this can also be a sign of an infection, not just an STD)
- pain during sexual intercourse
- swollen glands in the genital area
- abnormal discharge from the vagina/*****
- open sores, blisters in or around the *****/vagina (it can also be in the mouth in you contracted oral herpes)
- fever, headache, muscle ache (again this can also be a symptom of something else other than STD)
- rapid weight lost, chronic infections (for people with HIV)

some people with STD's can be asymptomatic and this even makes it more dangerous. like for example more than half of the people who contracted chlamydia has no symptoms. another example is HIV which in some cases can take up to many years (as many as 5-10 yrs) before you will start to feel the symptoms. a lot of people with HIV (and some other STD's) pass their disease on to other people not because they want to, but because they don't know they have it.
