To be honest this is not the year for hard core gamers to buy a new xbox and I will not suggest it as well. Since by late this year or early next year new generation consoles will be launched. And by Feb. 20 Sony Playstation will be making an official announcement.

My ten cent on this one though.

Fun Factor - You can go either way PS3 using the PS3 wand or XBOX using the Kinect for sport games and fun as well. So that a kid can get exercise while indoors.

Quality Wise - Though I work for xbox I would say quality goes to Sony Playstation: This is by experience professionally and as a gamer.

Games - both console has wired variety of fun and learning games you can chose from for kids. You can buy a console that is of any region and just have it modded to play downloaded games via the Hard drive since your kid will most likely not go online on it.

Basta importante malingaw imuhang bata and di mo mag mahay sa inyo choice.

it just depends on who is playing.

Is it for the Family? or for only one person? Games --> Player --> Console : Relationship which greatly affects on what is the suitable choice.

Dakong tabang jud specially on the strenghts and weaknesses of the XBOX360. Nakasabot na jud ko intawn gamay but I have a couple more question left.

1. Naa ba possibility na ang XBOX360 na gikan sa US will be modded aron maka download ko ug games ?
2. Naa man ko nabantayan na lain lain ug memory ang console ani nila ? Naay gamay lang ug gigabytes and isa kay dako dako ug gigabytes , what are these for ?
3. Kana gadget na KINECT , is it sold separately ? Or it comes in a package with the console unit ?

You can download games from Xbox Live without modifying your 360.

But… errrrr… I hope you are still buying the games and the purpose of modding your 360 is for the convenience of hard drive/ usb loading, because it’s awkward for a moderator of a site that discourages piracy to openly ask the members to help him about piracy.

To answer your question, yes, I believe they can modify the 360 you will buy from the US because most of the consoles they have on their stores are from the US.

That’s the size of the hard drive that comes with the 360. This is the storage space the 360 uses for the games’ saves, and games downloaded from Xbox live.

You can either buy the console only or a bundle which comes with Xbox 360 + Kinect + kinect game.

by the way Sir SPRINGFIELD_XD_40 if you intend to buy your Xbox360 in the US then you must also buy a 110-220 AC power adapter. Xbox360 brought in the US has a 110v AC power adapter , that's one thing 1 forgot to check when i brought it in the US , so when i used it here i was forced to buy an AC power adapter that cost me around 1K++ which is a Class A power adapter ......

Ayaw kabalaka sa "expensive" Bai Springfield, kay sa akong pagsabot sa imung problema, dili man kaayo ka mupalit ug mga games na latest. (I'm talking about COD: BOps2, GTA V, GOW:Judgement, HALO 4 and etc.) Mostly kanang most of kinect games nimo ug mga educational games bro kay naa rana karon sa $15-30 and price range (except sa mga "Dance games" tingali) Good Luck!

I might end up getting it kay if ever mo abot ang point bitaw na mapul-an na ka sa unsay naa nimo . Games lang gyud sama sa kana murag DOTA ang di nako ganahan or STARCRAFT ba tawag ana ? ANg online games siguro ang di nako ganahan .

I am talking about prices also sa Philippines na ga average ug 1K to 3K na brand new . Local ni sila na version ( asia ) though I will be sourcing out sa US man pod.

@SPRINGFIELD_XD_40: There are many sellers in PinoyXbox and in Istorya who take really good care of the Xbox games they are selling complete with box and manuals and without any scratches. I've traded and bought from PinoyXbox and from Istorya and so far I've had no complaints with what I've bought since murag brand new man ang condition. Very old games can be had as low as P200 at PinoyXbox ;D
