Some people just don't get the logic of market value and branding and that's why some people say the iPhone is "overpriced" and hating it because of that. I guess you'd all be haters of Hermes bags then? I mean c'mon, a bag? What else can it do but carry little stuff and yet some are priced at $100,000.. maybe the cheapest one would be around $1000.. Way more expensive than an iPhone which can send texts, call people, connect to the net and all the other things it can do... Seriously, why hate so much on the iPhone? Pareha ra na sa ilang ipamugos nga customizable, file sharing, custom rom, and etc. You can't have the best of both worlds.

On the other side of the note, some people are claiming nga 'techy' na sila kay maka customize, or mka install sila ug custom roms and even worse mka jailbreak. Srsly? There are guides for that sht all over the net. While there are people who prefer to go stock and simple, then sawayon. Magbuot man sa personal preferences.

You just nailed the reason why some people loathe the iPhone and Apple in general.

It's not so much the gadget that's the problem as it is the smugness of users who buy the iPhone for vanity. It's the way some iPhone users look down on others who don't have their device and aren't part of the "in club"; in this thread alone you have people calling Android phones cheap, when the fact that you can get the iPhone on contract for $200 makes priciness insignificant.

One schmuck on the iPhone 5 thread even went out of his way to say that Android is for poor people. That's the attitude that seems to turn some people away from the device, great as it is.

BTW, your Hermes analogy is kind of inappropriate. Hermes birkins at your aforementioned price range are handmade (expensive labor) and use saltwater crocodile leather (also expensive leather) and come with gold plated, diamond encrusted hardware. So the price isn't all that unreasonable, even if it's just a stupid bag.

Is the iPhone overpriced? I like to think that 80 percent of all tech is, so it's kind of a moot point. My 2 cents? Arguing about preference is a little infantile.

Brad don't tell people to stop hating the device. They hate it because they don't like it and they can say it here. Maybe because of experience or unsa pa pero you can't shove it in their mouths nga sayop sila. You can't do anything besides making this thread worse. I have an ipod. Parehos rman cguro na sa iphone noh? Dili lang maka call and text. Anyway, ang dili naku ganahan kay ang pag transfer ug music ba. Kinhanlan ug iTunes. I think that applies to the iPhone pud. Music is very important para naku. Everyday ko mag balhin/download/transfer ug music sa memory card sa aku nokia. Hasulan lang ko sa ipod kay mag itunes pa. I guess mao pud na ang reason nganu dili ko mag cge gamit sa ako ipod. Dili upgraded ang music library. hehehe. Pero nindot ug sounds ang ipod naku, especially kung akong SkullCandy earphones gamit. Sulod gyud sa utok kung mag sipra. hehehe
