    Default Android and GPS

This is a demonstration of Android GPS' capability w/o cellular network and AGPS assistance.
Based on my experience with the Android devices that i have mao ila performance

    GALAXY S2 - 1-3 minutes
    Galaxy S WIFI 5.0 - 3-5 minutes
    Galaxy Mini - 3-10 minutes
    Galaxy 5 Europa-3-10 minutes

i must also emphasize nga although my s3 clone runs on ICS 4.0.4 and iyang time to view and lock to a satellite is suffice to say...forever. Comparatively speaking

Now ang akong Samsung B7610 OMNIA PRO WM 6.5 - 5-10 minutes despite being GPS tweak more than my Android devices.

i used my Android phones as GPS receivers for the following PC programs

    Garmin Mobile PC
    OPenCpn
    Raytech Navigator
    Transas 4000 ECS

And GPSgate to open multiple COM ports.

ang akong mga test can hardly be considered nga sa open area,
inside na sa cabin w/ watertight windows (port holes) and watertight/fireproof doors
and literally in the middle of nowhere.

Sa 3rd pic that's a good 250 nautical miles from the nearest land area- Arabian Sea enroute to the Gulf of Aden.
Well actually maski in the middle of the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean maka locked man gihapon sa satellites.

Ma-amused bitaw ko sa mga river pilots sa America,
they bring with them GPS receivers as big as a water jug then ang ilang mga Galaxy Notes and s3s gamiton lng as music player.

instead of buying for example a dedicated GPS unit para gamiton sa akong car
nag-gamit lang ko ug Android phone as a GPS receiver. tutal naa man ko netbook sad w/ Garmin Mobile PC nga naay Philippine map .
naa man Navitel for Android pero mas dako man screen ang netbooks. mas klaro ang mga roads and intersections

sa case sa screenshots above, i'm using my Android phone as a GPS receiver for my Electronic Chart program sa
    laptop.

btw, i used BlueNmea (free sa Android Market) to convert Android location data to NMEA protocol.
NMEA man ang reconized protocol sa mga navigation programs.
