Wondering if you guys want to hold a Basketball discussion in Chat , maybe talk about current NBA / PBA / Local Non Pro Leagues , mix in a bit of fantasy , thoughts and opinions ...

Question on whose hot , fantasy advice , so on everything basketball ...

It's an awesome initiative KE-25 . I have had basketball discussions over the internet via Google+ hangouts and often with someone associated with the league such as beat writers , announcers , and team staff . It's a great idea to have this .

You can invite Quinito Henson or any popular current sports writers in the Philippines and talk about regarding "Sports Journalism in the Philippines" . Most of them have Twitter so it's easy to reach out to them . As a first-time episode of hangouts or video chats , it would be great and since we're in a Basketball section , might as well start with the "Overseas Filipino Prospects and the Team Philippines Grassroots Program" . You can have a discussion about the future of Philippine Basketball in terms of international competitions . Alex Compton is currently the national tournament director of the Nokia National Basketball Training Center Developmental League - a grassroot program of Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas .

However , I don't know if most people here would participate on video chats because we enjoy our anonymity here . I will not participate any public video chats with people on this forum . EVERY heated discussions here always ends up with personal attacks . What's the point of revealing yourself to the public especially when your personal life will be at risk of being ridiculed , harassment , threats , and etc because you hold a different opinion than everyone else on the forum or on the particular thread .

While we would love to have Sports journalist in here which is a swell idea , i was thinking more on smaller scale , say text , retain our user nick and just talk sports / fantasy ... should be fun or maybe choose a couple of Knowledgeable users and they take questions from users using our chat system here

Say let everyone know Friday at say 9pm (example lang) , then everyone converges .. , I did something like this couple months back , it was fun but we need volunteers to control people from flooding ... , if people behave this may work and we get to talk sports in here.

I guess it will work on a "smaller scale" forumer-to-forumer chat talk in real time . I was just under the impression of a seminar/conference type of chat (video chat) with a panelist . Either way , I think it would be fun .
