How is this for boosting sound on a 2.1 PC speaker and sub system with an Xbox 360?

These are designed to power earphones/headphones. But for your question, yes it will still boost the sound to a higher volume for a 2.1 speaker set-up. I've tried it on my desktop PC with 2.1 speaker.
