Zero Dark has currently created a controversy surrounding the torture scene, and it could be a gimmick to push its Oscar chances. Honestly, I thought that movie was really good but it seemed like it needed to cut around 30 minutes to make it tighter, not that it matters. Given the fact that Kathryn Bigelow recently won for Hurt Locker, chances are she won't win for director and so will her movie.

Ang Lee's Life of Pi is considered a visual spectacle and not as the real serious thing (no major nominations except BP). Lee is also not that prominent in the Oscar's political circle.

These are all just my opinion. lol

Cool. But if I may, yes ZDT may have been controversial with the torture scene but I think what the critics loved about the movie was that Bigelow has crafted a brilliant and suspenseful story about the hunt for Bin Laden with intelligence and an intricate eye for detail. And on top of that, Jessica Chastain's performance was extraordinary. It wouldnt come out as a shock if the Best Actress award goes to her

Ang Lee's Life of Pi is a major front-runner in the Visual Effects race, that's for sure. But he can also be a huge contender for Best Director, given that he won that same award for his 2005's Brokeback Mountain.

For Best Actress, I am rooting for Jennifer Lawrence - bisag nindot ang performance ni Jessica Chastain.

Best Picture - Lincoln/Life of Pi/Argo

Best Actress - Jessica Chastain.

Best Picture - Argo/Lincoln/Les Miserables. It's down to three of them for me.
