bisan kinsa pa na tao mamatay. sayang man jud na. maka ingun lang ta na "sayang gwapa/gwapo unta" because mao man jud na ang una ma hinumduman sa tao. Physical appearance... next will be his traits. im sure you have heard people also say "sayanga, Buotan/maayung tao/ETC...." because next thing we will remember is his traits. thats just how our brains work. its like your applying for a job. Ngano mag formal or mag tarong man jud kag make up because first thing tan-awn sa tao kay ang imong physical appearance. then next na ang uban.... Im not an expert on this topic but i hope you get my point.

    Nice topic by the way....

Well it doesnt apply to all.

kato namatay ako teacher nga dili kaau gwapa I said

    "Sus kabuotan ra ba"

Kato namatay ako lolo, most of the people who attended the wake said

    "Sus sugarol rba kay ni"

kato namatay amo silingan, I heard people saying

"mayra oie kay kawatan mana cya"

Kato namatay c Rico yan, kato nuun, nakaana jud ko

    "Sus gwapoha rba ato"

So basically, depende how they are remembered. And human as we are, everything pleasing sa mata is a plus jud. so dili nana kahinbulungan nga kung gwapa ang namatay, mostly sa reaction ing-ana jud TS

for me lang, such phrase would only come up as the general description to someone, meaning if you sum up to one adjective, you can say gwapa tong bataa, but if dili tuod gwapa pero buotan or bright, for sure people would rather say sayang kay buotan or bright ra ba tong bataa...so, it doesn't seem to matter
