Knsay naglagot diha sa mga road warning signs put up by MCWD, PLDT, or any subcon on the street unya without proper lighting, the signs are not big and clear enough to be safe, unya pataka lang ug butang..I have many times experienced a near miss accident because of these inefficiency of the way the signs are placed.
1. I thought there should be a bill for the Mayor's office and the Barangay's office to approve first these signs to be placed in a definite area before they can be put in the street. And somebody from the government other than the 2 mentioned offices above should inspect these signs before they can be put on the street..
2. There should also be a stiffer penalty to any accident caused by warning sign negligence. I think the penalty should be similar to homicide in degree because this is similar to homicide.
3. There should be a standard, guidelines, and process on how these warning devices are placed.
I other countries, a mile before, they will already put warning devices with lights (signal lights) and as the car approaches near the danger area more warning signs and lightings are placed. This could be expensive on the part of the contractor, but this is the price they should pay if they can not finish their jobs on time.
