[Tutorial] Updating your CM Flare (Noob step by step)

Hello mga ka istoryan, I'm here to share this tut with you kay kabalo ko naa daghan diri nga wala maka update kay wala mo work or dili mo work sa ila tong first tutorial ni sir opaw so i decided nga mag experiment and sa sige nakog kulikot na kuha na gyud nako..

Note: this will work for everyone especially sa mga naa na encounter nga " An error occurred cannot install hardware blah-blah-blah" during the Fastboot "Greenscreen" mode.


Checklist: -PDAnet not needed- -rooted or not pde ra e update to the latest build-
A.) PC Drivers ( nasa internal memory ni nimo "pcdrivers.zip")
B.) Windows Installer 3.1 (google) "Not needed if you're using Win7 or Win8"
C.) .Net Framework 4 (google) "Not needed if you're using Win7 or Win8"
D.) AI Flasher : Android_AIO_Flasher_1.40_by_Fonehacker.7z
E.) Charged Phone
F.) USB Cable
G.) boot.img | recovery.img | system.img : updatedCMFlareImages.zip


Please do backup your data first (docs, pictures, messages, etc.)
here we go:

1.) Connect your phone "flare" to your PC
2.) And Turn On USB Storage then copy the pcdrivers.zip " it is located sa imong internal memory" from your phone to your desktop
3.) Extract the pcdrivers.zip sa desktop
4.) Turn off the USB Storage
5.) If wala pa ma enable imong debugging
- Go to Settings and click Developer Option then check (shown below)




6.) Mo prompt ni nga mo install og drivers
- For Android Drivers 3 ang required
- Just select Install from a list or specific location
- Click Browse
- Locate the extracted pcdrivers folder "Android" select the folder USB Modem Driver
- do this sa mga Android prompts
7.) If ang prompt kay adb_driver please select adb_driver folder and let windows install it for you.
8.) If successful tanan nimo installation sa drivers specially sa adb driver your ok to go.
9.) Disconnect your Flare from your PC and restart the PC
10.) After ma reboot imong PC connect balik imong phone sa PC.. just leave it connected
11.) Open Android AIO Flasher.exe (be sure humana nimo og extract)
12.) sa AIO Flasher naa ka makit-an nga

- ignore lang nang mga check2x og mga markup sa picture, anyway imong makita ang Reboot Menu, sa reboot menu select ang "Fast Boot Mode" then click reboot.. ayaw e close ang AI Flasher bantayi imong phone nga mo reboot..
- mo reboot imong phone to Green Screen or sa Cherry Mobile Splash screen
- if green or cm splash screen na gali ka
- ready naka para mo flash to latest build using sa cm update files nga imong na download.

Use these steps below to update your phone

- On AIO Flasher tab, under Fastboot Flasher(NANDroid Restorer), Select Parition;
(Depende po kung anong file e flash mo either System, Boot, Recovery..)

- Then Select File, browse the img file to use when Flashing. (kung system.img, dapat system din pinili sa Select Partition.. ganun din gawin mo sa boot at recovery dapat boot piliin sa Select Partition kung boot.img ang e flash mo.. )

- Check the Erase box and finally click Flash and wait until it completes flashing the img file to you phone. (Makikita mo yong button ng Flash ay naging Flashing.. wait mo lng matapos at magiging Flash ulit yong nsa button...

NOTE:
(Gawin mo yan steps 5 and 6 one after the other or isa-isa, meaning tatlong beses ka mag flash dahil tatlong file yan yong system, boot at recovery)

- Reboot your phone. (change reboot menu to "From Fastboot", then click reboot)

Instructions:

1. Save the update file to the root of the SD card. Turn off the phone. Make sure phone is charged atleast 15%.

2. Press and hold Power+volume Up for a few seconds. It will display first a green screen.

3. Release the button after the screen shows a red display to show the Android sytem
revocery.

4. Select apply update from external storage' and select the update file. Use volume keys to select and power key to confirm.

5. The phone will update. After update is finish, select reboot system now.

Note: SD Card update will not erase multimedia files like photos. It will just erase saved application. It is also advisable to do Factory data reset after doing SD card update.

unsa may mga fixes sa updated firmware sa atong cherry mobile flare? aside sa stock sms messaging nga dili ma rotate....what other fixes?

Change logs: G-sensor, Auto-rotate SMS, FM radio support and others.
