Brad Tirong actually they are implementing a sort of one-child policy in China. and for the Padre Damasos they consider that policy even more brutal than RH..
Kung wala tingali nag implement ug population control ang China tingali niabot na sila'g 3 billion karon and i'm sure di jud na nila maabot ang economic propsperity nga ila experience karon..
Another thing, ang economic boom sa China can only be felt on major cities. Ang kadaghanan sa population living in the countryside are still living within poverty.
One-child policy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It restricts urban couples to only one child, while allowing additional children in several cases, including twins, rural couples, ethnic minorities, and couples who are both only children themselves.
ONE-CHILD POLICY IN CHINA - China | Facts and Details
In 1979, three years after Mao’s death, a one-child policy was introduced to control China’s burgeoning population and reduce the strain on scarce resources. According to the policy as it was most commonly enforced, a couple was allowed to have one child. If that child turned out be a girl, they were allowed to have a second child. After the second child, they were not allowed to have any more children. In some places though couples were only allowed to have one child regardless of whether it is a boy or a girl. This policy is still in effect today. It is unusual for a family to have two sons.

Over-population is a major problem for the Chinese government due to the past Emperor's order for more children and become warriors. China may be no.2 but the Chinese Government and NOT it's people are prosperous. That's why the rate for a chinese worker is very low so as to attract investors/businessmen to put up their manufacturing plants in there. Their government heavily subsidizes it's people by providing free transit, free stalls in the streets, etc. etc.
The Chinese empire have existed way way long time ago and look at the dynasties! So, the plans of the government are implemented throughout the years, decades, and centuries unlike here wherein one politician has his/her own agenda. So that's also one reason why their government has lots of money due to it being an old-player in this world.
Remember it's a Communist Government. Violation of the rules is tantamount to death. The are NO corrupt politicians there. If there is, they probably know already and he/she should probably dead by now. People there are brainwashed and the politicians are brainwashed from generation to generation. So what the government wants, people follow.

Now, our government cannot support our booming population. Philippines is still a new player. We just got established on 1800's. It's still young unlike Uncle Sam and China. Plus, corruption is everywhere. Our government agencies' system also sucks.
You wan't change? Let's have charter change.
OnT:
RH may help control the population growth with it's mandatory S3x Education Programs and more proper Reproductive Health services. But I'm more concerned during it's implementation stage. If the money will be honestly allocated for the said programs. The government should also be transparent enough so FOI bill please.
