All about the dreaded distemper disease..

my dogs just recently survived this ordeal.. i have a pitbull, bullmastiff, american bully, a rottweiler and an old english sheepdog in the house... then one day.. my bullmastiff was coughing and starting to have runny nose.. at first i thought its just one of those normal cough because shes old already and shes been sickly lately so i just gave her some cough meds. but then a week after my pitbull got sick too and my american bully was also coughing.. then a week after my bullmastiff died.. i thought it was because shes old and she also got kidney problem (she urinates in her sleep) but then a week after my pitbull died and my american bully was getting worst.. because we only have one vet in the city (i am from san carlos city) and he was not around when i brought my dog at his clinic i decided to search the net when i got home.. to my horror all the symptoms manifesting are all pointing to distemper... i was shocked... and is scared.. i cant loose another dog.. so the next day went back to the vet but still he is not there (went to bacolod) so when i went home in my desperation (my dog is already twitching and sometimes stares at the wall and drolls and suddenly cries) i gave my dog lots and lots of vitamin c. like 4 to 5 tables of 500mg tablets every 4 to 5 hours.. to my surprise he got better the next day (i was really thinking he will die that night) so i keep on giving him that doze and i also injected a bcomplex vitamins and even gave my dog a herbal treatment for his cough (oregano leaves extract) i continued doing it for almost 2 months (his body got better but it took me long to cure his cough)

and now he is ok.. also the same with the other dogs (my old english sheepdog show symptoms too but was cured a week after the same treatment)

thankfully there were no side effects.. and my dogs are now all healthy

Hi there fellow victims! Ako pud share lang ko sa burden nga amo na encounter during the time nga nasakit ani nga illness amo jap spitzs ug mga mixed breed nga aspin. Mga 3 months mi nakig fight ani but 6 of our dogs weren't able to survive. Ang naka survive rajud is a Belgian mal nga mag jerk japun hangtud karon.
