I was putting across a sane explanation.. simple fact that must be fundamental knowledge to all OFWs:
outside the Philippines, all currencies are calculated against the US Dollar or the price of GOLD.
no currency is DIRECTLY CALCULATED AGAINST THE PHILIPPINE PESO.
muagi gyud na ug US DOLLAR conversion.
I apologize for using that blunt term.. but if one obviously refuses to understand, sometimes, it gets on our nerves.
I am not rude, it is not in my breeding maam Dorothea. But I talk sense... always.
agree ko ni kuyabog, no matter what the exchange rate is, always remember that your salaries are still 4 to 5x our salaries here in the Phils. you should be thankful of what you have gamay ra na nga change sa inyong sweldo.
you must have been spoiling the ones left here mao na mksulti mu nga dli na kaigo inyong sweldo. for me its about lifestyle.
nbuhi ra man mi sa buwad ug utan bisaya dnhi
Butangi ka diha bai.. wa jud ka kasabot nganong nagDH ang tao?!
what a great excuse to justify your answer bai. sa pinas nalng magDH? really?
you really are missing the point why you travelled abroad to work. Given nga managlahi ra og reason why we work abroad, but really? i guess when i moved abroad i was hoping to better my life (& my family, including my parents & also my siblings who i helped to finish their schooling) but i really dont know bout you (but thats really far off topic).
ani na bai, personally, my budget is based on what my family NEEDS to spend in PESO...(Take note bai: NOT IN DOLLARS). so if example 8 years ago i send 800US= P40K budget of course i had to adjust my remittance everytime mousab ang exchange rate kay ang gastohon sa pinas nag usab man sad? this exchange rate problem did not happen overnight. but this news did because OFW's like myself who's earning in dollars is already fed up & uncertain to whats going to happen. I can't force my boss to give me a raise (because i am ALREADY GRATEFUL for having a job).
now my question kay ani..what has the govt done over the past years to improve our situation sa pinas? jail those corrupt officials? has that taken any affect on our basic necessities? how bout Local investment? i see the raise of more SM, Robinsons, Gaisano, Housing, ETC. most of these are IMPORTERS. asa na tong mga exporters ron?
OT:
@Eve's Apple Project:
I apologize sir for the foul display and wrong choice of words. Maam Dorothea is right.
Katawanan man ning mga post nimo uy, in one post you called whiney OFWs pathetic. Well what does that make a person who whines about other people whining?
What does that have to do with the situation now which is the drastic appreciation in the value of the Peso. If the Peso at that time went from 1:18 to 1:10 I believe even you would be singing a different tune.I was earning US Dollars at the time when it was 1:18 to the peso, and I was never hurting.
OFWs should be grateful that they had to beg for jobs in another country because their own country is being run by nincompoops who have turned the Philippines into one of the poorest and underdeveloped countries in Asia with no job opportunities and high inflation rate? Nice twisted world-view you got there.OFWs should even be grateful that they have found the so-called greener pastures, instead of whining about being hurt kay nimubo ang exchange rate.
And that's exactly what the government is relying on, the fact that they can treat OFWs like slaves and exploit their concern for their families back home because they know no matter how hard the exchange rate is on the OFWs, they will continue to remit money and prop up our broken country.Kung dili ninyo madawat ang 1:40, aw resign mo, pauli. Ka simple ana. HURT man kaha mo.
Puyo nalang sa bukid bro. Why should anyone be content to live a simple lifestyle in this day and age? We are in the 21st century and people have aspirations for a better life for themselves and their family. When other countries around us have people and governments who aim for better standard of living, there are people like yourselves whose vision for the country is 'simple lifestyle'? LOL... and you got the guts to call other people here stupid, give me a break!Paminaw mo ni Lodyl: adjust and live a simple lifestyle.
I'm not an OFW but I'm an exporter and we have also been affected by the exchange rate. While other countries, like China, are doing its best to protect its exporters with a weak currency, our dumb government seems to think that the country will be richer with a strong currency. Between these countries, China and the Philippines which do you think has intelligent leaders who know what they are doing?OFW pud ka monroy? Do not be greedy...be grateful that you have a job.
You're whole point in this thread was to tell other people not to be greedy but I guess you forgot that this thread is supposed to be about the exchange rate and how it negatively affects the OFWs, as you can see greed doesn't factor into this equation at all...That is exactly my point in this thread.
Daghan pud putak nimo monroy oi.. pero wala man kay itlog oi!
Basaha ang post ni Payaso.. kung makasabot ka, maayo.
Kung dili, aw, dili lang ta maglalis kay we are not on the same frequency.
If the exchange rate is HURTING you as an exporter.. leave your business.. damn!
hahaha..wow, that just shows how smart A** you are.. claro kaayo sa imong patern nga wa ka nag earn og USD.
mao na diha be objective kay klaro kaayo kang way klaro kastorya. you are one small fly on a carabao's noes.
so you are now telling me that FOREX is based on USD? really? wow... storyahi ang buta bai. bright man kaha ka.. IF NAA ka sa singapore karon then magpadala ka sa pinas, you mean to say you need to change your money to USD before you change to peso? really? beasue last time i check when i was IN HK, i sent money directly converted from HKD to PHP. wow, & now your telling me that FOREX "SMART A**" stuff? haha tawn sad nimo oi. FOREX trading is different topic tawn bai..kalouy sad imo oi.
Start earning USD be, then tell me if you dont have to re ADJUST your budget. then tell me if complaining is greed..haha you really need to stop reading sh** & start having a real responsible life.
opps.. pas pas kaayo..ni soprry na diay ka bai kuyabog..anyway..acceptd..going back to topic be..
