It doesn't affect you, but it affects the OFWs. So on the balance of things, they have a right to complain. What exactly is your point in this thread?

wa jud kasabot ang uban diri. Mura man ug dissociated kaayo sa "reality", puro ra ideal condition ang cited. Again, not all families of OFWs are living beyond what is comfortable. You simply can't say "change of lifestyle" will fix things because, in reality, their budget does not permit immediate adjustment. Understand what the saying "living from paycheck to paycheck" means--a small change in income means a wrench in the works. Many OFWs earn without the extra, their earnings are burnt up immediately on sustenance and needs without anything extra for savings or rainy day funds. Ka daghan bag elitista diri nga dili kasabot ana?

It does not affect me because I am not a greedy OFW, who gets "HURT" when the exchange rate falls to 1:40.

I was earning US Dollars at the time when it was 1:18 to the peso, and I was never hurting.

OFWs should even be grateful that they have found the so-called greener pastures, instead of whining about being hurt kay nimubo ang exchange rate.

Kung dili ninyo madawat ang 1:40, aw resign mo, pauli. Ka simple ana. HURT man kaha mo.

Paminaw mo ni Lodyl: adjust and live a simple lifestyle.

OFW pud ka monroy? Do not be greedy...be grateful that you have a job.

That is exactly my point in this thread.

Sounds funny, pero sa tinood, doable.
But as always... ang ending is : "Nothing is always enough"

I am really not sure kung sakto na ang title.
I mean... kung na-hurt ba jud ang mga OFW anang mga Ups-and-Downs of our PhP.
    I really dont think so...

Ang impact sa exchange rate during Pasko Season against sa growth sa family sa OFW through out the years... (kamo na sumpay)

...para nako, most OFW's are NOT hurt by the strong PHP during these seasons.

    ihmo lang...
akong bana ang ofw..not really hurt jud , pero mo reklamo lang mi sa niubos ang dollar kontra peso.. kai mahal man gud pamaliton ron.. tagbaw tag stretch sa atong income para maigo tanan needs..

There are market forces beyond our control, affecting everything from the exchange rate to prices of commodities.

As OFWs, we have to be grateful to have our jobs. There millions others who have none.

The title of this thread can be written in one word - GREED.

OT: @kuyabog:naa nasad ka sa word nga greed bai. the idea of capitalism is rooted in the word greed, so why dont we call all ourselves greedy since we are working in a capitalist environment?

Prices of commodities can be controlled if/when the govt decides to intervene. E.g. Abolish the oil deregulation law, Develop our Natural gas resource...etc.
