Mao jud bai.................. sa akoang minimum wage, i'll rather focus on my savings (investments) than those pampa IN stuffs..... and, if wanna buy something like a laptop or DSLR, dili ko hilig ug utang... i'll rather save first then buy it..... kay let's with the fast technology turnaround these days, ang target nako nga laptop nga let's say i3 @ P30K this month, after a few months of saving, basin ug naana i5 with the same price nga mogawas... di ba.........
wa jud kasabot ang uban diri. Mura man ug dissociated kaayo sa "reality", puro ra ideal condition ang cited. Again, not all families of OFWs are living beyond what is comfortable. You simply can't say "change of lifestyle" will fix things because, in reality, their budget does not permit immediate adjustment. Understand what the saying "living from paycheck to paycheck" means--a small change in income means a wrench in the works. Many OFWs earn without the extra, their earnings are burnt up immediately on sustenance and needs without anything extra for savings or rainy day funds. Ka daghan bag elitista diri nga dili kasabot ana?

It does not affect me because I am not a greedy OFW, who gets "HURT" when the exchange rate falls to 1:40.
I was earning US Dollars at the time when it was 1:18 to the peso, and I was never hurting.
OFWs should even be grateful that they have found the so-called greener pastures, instead of whining about being hurt kay nimubo ang exchange rate.
Kung dili ninyo madawat ang 1:40, aw resign mo, pauli. Ka simple ana. HURT man kaha mo.
Paminaw mo ni Lodyl: adjust and live a simple lifestyle.
OFW pud ka monroy? Do not be greedy...be grateful that you have a job.
That is exactly my point in this thread.

OT: @kuyabog:naa nasad ka sa word nga greed bai. the idea of capitalism is rooted in the word greed, so why dont we call all ourselves greedy since we are working in a capitalist environment?
Prices of commodities can be controlled if/when the govt decides to intervene. E.g. Abolish the oil deregulation law, Develop our Natural gas resource...etc.
