This is a long shot, but can anybody help me with this...?

Do you know of anyone or any store that sells quality HARMONICA (10-holes, diatonic) such as Hohner or Lee Oskar?

Sa una daghan man to sa RJ ug JB Music pero karon puros nalang mga baratohon ang available, bati ug quality.

Any help would be appreciated.

uhm.. we have a harmonica at home. my brother bought it. we never were able to really learn it. he bought it in Colon. Gaisano Metro i think. hehe. don't know much about harmonicas so i don't know what a 10-hole diatonic is. how'd u learn to play it by the way?

Basically, a 10-hole harmonica is one which has 10 air holes. Gamay ni sya nga harmonica, mga 3 inches in length ra tingali.

Unsa pu'y brand sa harmonica ninyo Luthienne? Any plans of selling it to me? =) I used to own a Hohner but i lost it in one of our sessions (drinking) hehehe!

I bought an instructional tape sa gaisano years ago. Then I listened to songs (Blues, mostly) and tried to copy the riffs. Maka discourage pag sugod, makalipong pa jud (hypoxia). Now, at least I can do simple riffs, do some note-bending. Bati lang akong instrument kay baratohon, mao nangita kog original.

hiya, serpentboy. i dunno the brandname of our harmonica. i shall try searching it in the house. it keeps getting lost. but i think i heard my sister play it awhile ago. anyway, from your description of a 10-hole harmonica, i can now safely say our harmonica isn't one. it's not three inches tall and it has more than ten holes.

it's good to know there are instructional tapes for sale. i might just buy one.

i'll tell u the brand of our harmonica when i find it. my brother bought it at a cheap price so i guess it's not original like the one u want to have.

i bought my yamaha 10 hole and my hohner didto sa old RJ store sa ayala center sa una... sayang, i bought my hohner at a bargain bec they were closing shop at that time... however, i think you can still get a hohner sa JB SM, just ask the people there to order new stock... i think i saw one there before... also, try A. Salonga or VGS atbang sa Steve's KTV Luyo sa Jollibee... i'm not sure though...

serpent boy, i really cant do the tongue technique, it's quite difficult.. however, i could bend one note at a time but mostly when i inhale... i started doing the tongue stuff but it was way too taxing.. i quite playing the harmonica about 5yrs ago.. hehehe.. me and my very short attention span...

@Luthienne - Thanks for the effort though, hehehe. Yup, i think its of the same caliber with my present-day instrument, mine is worse kay ang brand name niya Parrot!!! At least yours is named after a person, akua kay sa langgam. Nihit kaayo ang orig nga harmonica diri sa atua, ambot lang sa manila. Pati mga instructional materials ZERO. I bought a hohner pud sa RJ sa una sa ayala pero tua na sya ron sa harmonica heaven. If you do find one (harmonica, instructional stuff), ingna ko ha? and vise versa. Good luck and rock on!!!

Sa JB-didto ko kapalit ug parrot. VGS mao na tong sa mango ave, katong dunay mga audio equipt ug guitars nga baligya? wala pud didto bro. Sa Salonga (SM), dunay made in china. Kato nalang tingali akong paliton kay lain-lain ug keys.

Maayo diay ka mutila bro? hehehe... Di ko sweto anang tongue technique pero kaantigo ko ug bending (gamay). Malingaw na lang kog jam sa akong mga blues nga mp3, murag buang sigeg balik-balik.
